“In the spring of 2022, we spoke with Tom Gross at Kentwood Real Estate about our plans to move out of state, the conversation pivoting to selection of a realtor. He informed us that Kentwood has a referral department at no additional cost. He needed to know the city and zip codes we were interested in and price range. We provided additional criteria such as hobbies, the right size and style house to meet our needs, and lot size preference. Kentwood’s algorithm would then match our criteria with an experienced agent – one result. Tom would speak to the agent first, and then call us. The agent’s company would send Kentwood reports on how we were progressing as a team in our search. In this manner, the referral system insured real accountability.

We’d already de-cluttered and de-personalized our home on his instructions.

It worked flawlessly! Our relationship with the buyer’s agent selected was positive throughout the process. We still marvel that an algorithm could select just the right person for our unique needs.

At one point we were balancing two contracts – one as buyers, the other as sellers, with an upcoming move schedule. The stress should have been overwhelming, yet we knew we were in good hands on both ends.

We were all part of the team. Both the purchase and sale transactions were completed smoothly.

Immediately after, we contacted Tom Gross to sell our home in the Denver area. Home prices had reached their zenith in March. With rising interest rates many homeowners were choosing to stay put and buyers were cautious.

The Tom Gross Team photographed our home and created a stunning video. An oversize easel was brought in to display photos we had taken during summer’s bloom. Visual aids highlighting improvements we made directed buyers’ eyes accordingly. Tom meticulously explained the selling process and extant market conditions.
