She loves to take trips “home” to the farm in Nebraska to visit family and friends. She is a proud aunt to adorable nieces and nephews. Growing up in eastern Nebraska as a farm girl has continued to be an evident link to my current role as a real estate business owner.
Who knew such a connection would be made over time. I love it! Now, don’t hear me say I get farming completely, that’s what my Dad knows, but from working the fields and barns to planting seeds, sowing them and then harvesting, they blend together often with similarities that one would not imagine.
I am thankful to have had a childhood where hard work was instilled and valued.
The degree to which my parents and grandparents worked the farm, I will never fully know, unless I go back and farm myself. Just so you know, that is not the plan as of now. What I do know is the process of building a business, maintaining a business, and growing a business looks very similar just with different scenery and machinery.
Starting a business takes time. You must find those who will cheer you on and support you.
A community from near and far who believe in you. Find your niche. Partner with trusted advisors, contractors, seed companies, coaches, mentors, other business owners. It is important to surround yourself with the best in the industry. I mean if you don’t plant good quality seed and give the plants the best fertilizer, then the crops will not grow.
Prepare for storms because there will be storms. Persevere and press on.
Keep working your business and it will grow. Even if the wind comes and knocks a few stocks down or rain comes and drowns out the bean crop, replanting can often be done. And if not, then trust in the Lord for provision and lean into your community. Growth will happen, it just might look different than you thought it would.

I had no idea how hard it would be and how rewarding it would be all at the same time to see the fruit, then harvest when my buyers and sellers accomplish their goal of buying or selling their homes. It came in waves at first. After about 3 years, I began to trust the process more. I found my groove, but that didn’t come without challenges, joys, and triumphs along the way. Seeds get planted. Then you trust. You water the seeds. Then you watch the seeds grow and blossom. Home buying and selling is truly a transformation. It is a process, and I am here to help you make your dream come true one step at a time.
