ASTEWARDSHIP BLESSED HARVEST NOT OWNERSHIP I believe you need a “harvest” somewhere in your life this coming season. A supernatural harvest… in your spiritual life, in your relationships, in your finances, maybe even in your health. I believe this is true for each and every person at Trinity Church! This is why we chose the theme “My Harvest” for Trinity for this next year. We depend on God for our harvest, and so did the people who worshiped him over 2,000 years ago. He made a covenant with His people when they came out of Egypt, letting them know His Spirit would remain among them and they would have nothing to fear. He wanted them to know He would provide for them and bless them, as long as they followed His commandments. That is the Harvest we are looking for! God WANTS to bless us. How amazing is that? He’s making us the same promise to us that He made to His people through Haggai 2,535 years ago! In Haggai’s time, God’s people had to atone for their sins through sacrifice, especially during three major feasts each year. We don’t have to sacrifice in the same way because Jesus died to atone for our sins – but He still wants us to follow His commandments and be good stewards. When we freely give what we have to the Lord, we give

BY RICH WILKERSON, SR

up our ownership and become stewards of His resources! Jesus calls me to be a steward of the resources and blessings He gives me so He can give me my harvest. He is asking the same thing of you! Your giving and stewardship ensures Your harvest! Joel 2 promises us seven specific blessings if we follow His commandments and serve as good stewards: a Double Portion, Financial Abundance, Restoration, Miracles, God’s Divine Presence, Blessings on Your Family, and Deliverance. These blessings are part of our harvest! I am praying for you today, friend. I am praying for you to experience a great harvest this year. I pray you experience the Harvest of a Personal Spiritual Breakthrough, a strengthening of your relationship with Jesus. I pray you experience the Harvest of a Family Saved and Renewed in the Spirit. I pray you experience the Harvest of a Financial Breakthrough so you don’t have to worry about money every day! I believe Jesus has already prepared my harvest for this next year! Will you step up beside me and believe in Him for Your harvest? Will you promise Him that you will give up your ownership of those blessings and instead accept stewardship of His resources? Something is brewing in the Spirit – are you ready for a season of “My Harvest?” I say SO BE IT LORD! Rich Wilkerson is Senior Pastor of Trinity Church in Miami, FL & cofounder of Peacemakers ministries alongside his wife of 40+ years, Robyn. They have 4 children & 2 grandchildren.

Dear Girls — You are wonderful! Your unique ‘one of a kind’ life is important to me – to us – as important as it is to God. No one can replace you. No one has lived your experiences or seen the world as only you do. But “…the only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him. In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body.” ROMAN 12:3, 4, 5 As women we identify with each other. We see ourselves in other’s stories, struggles, sacrifices, and solutions. The GIRLFRIENDS ministry at Trinity Church is all about gathering women together! Life is not meant to be lived alone. Community connects our strengths, resources, and callings by combining them into a sisterhood of encouragement, which is elevating all of us to our highest personal potential. As a sisterhood of women from all walks of life, we are creating a new identity for women of faith. The Girlfriends Conference is women inspiring women to live the life God has created only for them. And his year’s theme is I AM HER. I AM HER allows me to see a part of myself in every woman. We are reflections of our Creator; we are reflections of each other. In this year’s conference, we will be able to look at each other and see who we really are... women of God uniquely purposed and designed with our individual strengths to be combined together energized to carry out His will! WHEN MORE HAPPENS Resting in His Abundance by Linda Freeman

I’ve had the privilege and the adventures of traveling to the ends of the earth on short-term mission trips for over twenty years. Many of these trips consisted of construction projects: building churches and schools. Some were focused on providing discipleship and leadership training to new believers. In February 2015, I started a missions Connect Group named GO! (Global Outreach) with three goals in mind: • Inspire young adults to become missionaries, • Plan short-term mission team projects, and • Go to the ends of the earth in the Name of Jesus. Recently, we’ve traveled with a Trinity Church team of twenty-one people to Cambodia with the primary focus of providing a mobile medical clinic to the children attending the Light of Future Schools founded by Cambodian Care Ministries. Our team returned home with countless testimonies of the miraculous timing and provision of God. One of these stories concerns our time in Kratie Province.

MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT 6

The villagers in Kratie Province had never seen Americans nor heard the name of Jesus. They had petitioned Cambodian Care to open a school in their village as none of the children in the village had a school to attend. Our team’s primary task was to offer a mobile medical clinic in the village. Our second task was to provide the curriculum and school supplies for the 160 children enrolled in the soon-to-be-open school. Our nurses worked tirelessly in less than perfect conditions to provide medical care to 94 people in one day. In addition to the

nurses, team members collected demographic data from each person and added their vital signs to the intake forms. Many of the adults we served had life-threatening, chronic diseases. The first woman receiving medical care happened to be the most serious case the nurses encountered during our time in Cambodia. One of our nurse practitioners, Kathy, had to explain that her symptoms indicated she only had a few weeks to live. The nurses prayed for her. The founder of Cambodian Care, Koy Chhim, shared the Gospel with her and her husband. As a result of this encounter, she became the first person in the village to hear the Gospel message and the first person in this village to become a Christian. This was not the evangelism method Pastor Koy had envisioned when he first visited this village in June, but God had another plan. The people in Kratie Province were so amazed by the love and compassion showed to them by our medical team that people remained crowded around the clinic for the entire day. The second couple that heard the Gospel message had been served at the clinic very early in the day. They had remained with our team throughout the day, watching everything that was happening. As we were packing to leave, they questioned Pastor Koy about why we were so loving and compassionate. They couldn’t understand why we served people in another part of the world for no compensation. He told them that we were followers of Jesus. When they heard his explanation, they asked how they could know this Jesus who had compelled us to serve. They also asked Pastor Koy to come back and open a Bible study in their village. Today, a house church has begun in their home. As I am writing this article, 15 adults are learning how to read and write in Khmer and participating in a Bible study in a village that had never heard the name of Jesus before August 2015. In addition, 160 children who did not have access to education began school on September 7, 2015. What I learned on this mission trip is: • God truly can do more than we ask or imagine, • God has more for us to do and experience than we expect for ourselves, and • God has more in store for those we serve than we expect for them. Pastor Linda Freeman is the Executive Director of the Peacemakers Family Center and has been a passionate short-term missionary for twenty years. GO! Connect Group meets the first Sunday of every month at 3:15pm in the MLI Classroom at Trinity Church Miami Gardens Campus. To enroll in this connect group, please email Jeanette Muñoz at jamonamission@gmail.com.

Here at Trinity Church, we are a family. We take pride in nourishing healthy relationships between one another and Connect Groups serve as a main role in this. We encourage everyone to get connected in a group with individuals who share like interests. In this way our congregation, which can seem so big at times, become much smaller in more intimate settings. Through connect groups we build strong relationships with people who we may otherwise pass up the opportunity to get to know. Whatever you’re interested in or passionate about, we have a group for you! Our church is built up of individuals from cultures all over the world and there is something so special about that. This blended uniqueness gives us an opportunity to learn and experience different aspects of all backgrounds that have been sculpted by the hands of God himself. With this strong sense of culture that impacts us as a whole, we encourage members to become servant leaders to share with others all of what God has given them. People are our heart, and we believe in raising strong leaders who use their gifts and talents to build up the body of Christ. Every month we have our DNA service in which all of our servant leaders come together to move God’s kingdom forward. We discuss our roles of leadership in team breakouts, sharing our successes and planning to improve in any areas of fault. Another great thing we do at DNA is honor specific servant leaders for their commitment to the house and others. Worship Team’s Roan Pacheco was recently honored for his cheerful heart, and constant kindness with the 17:22 AWARD, derived from Proverbs 17:22. Next Steps leader Lisa Thelwell was honored for her admirable qualities of commitment and loyalty to her team and the house through the ABISHAI AWARD. Its influence comes from Abishai’s loyalty to David to capture Saul in 1 Samuel 26:6. Production Team’s David Samuel was honored with the LIONHEART AWARD because of his qualities of strength, determination, and perseverance. This award’s meaning is extracted from Joshua 1:7, “Be strong and very courageous…that you may be successful wherever you go.” The SERVANT LEADER OF THE MONTH AWARD is the highest honor given to an individual that embodies all qualities of each award. Beatrice Jourdain exemplifies these qualities, showing great commitment and determination in all aspects of her leadership roles. We believe as a family that this is our season of growth and new harvest. We expect God to move in ways that only he knows how. Our goal is to grow from 300 Servant Leaders to 400 Servant Leaders by the end of this year! To meet this goal we need everyone to play a part in building strong teams and growing and training new leaders that have a passion to serve the church. Let’s believe together that the Lord will take us to newer and higher levels. The best it yet to come!

Taking Time for Family

OF THE MONTH NOV/DEC

KidZone would like to honor two of our outstanding students who have demonstrated Christian virtue & character

by Kathie Harcastle

The Holiday Season is a busy and exciting time for children and families – decorations, parties, Christmas recitals, special food, presents! Wow! But for parents, all of these extra activities and responsibilities during the holidays can mean exhaustion and stress! Remember, when all is said and done, the most important thing that you as a parent can do for your child is to model Christ in the home and in all you do. There is no substitute for the one-on-one attention a parent gives their child. Here are a few thoughts to remember this season:

1. USE YOUR CAR TIME WISELY – SPEAK WITH YOUR CHILDREN. Drive-time is a great opportunity for communication. Ask your children about school and their friends – use the time for speaking LIFE. If distractions are eliminated, children will talk to each other! It is amazing what a listening parent can learn while eavesdropping on siblings or friends in the back-seat! Just remember to hold your responses until the appropriate time. If your children think that you will use their conversation against them, they won’t be willing to talk in front of you again!

2. GET INVOLVED IN SERVANT LEADERSHIP AT CHURCH. It is a powerful teaching tool for your children to see you serving. When children see their parents serving, it encourages them to serve as well. Servant Leadership will overflow into family and community opportunities. 3. MAKE SURE YOUR FAMILY CONSISTENTLY ATTENDS CHURCH. Children who are raised with the knowledge that church attendance is non-negotiable will not ask to quit attending as they grow older. If church attendance is treated as conditional on how a parent feels each Sunday or on whether the house needs cleaning or laundry done, children will believe they have an option on whether or not to attend. Church attendance must be developed as a joyful habit! I hope these tips will help you and your family during this Holiday Season! We can’t wait to share this fun and festive time with you and your family this year at Trinity Church. Kathie Hardcastle, M.A. is Director of Education for our TCA and Freedom School after care programs.

CONGRATULATIONS! Annabelle Ramirez & Elijah St. Phar

HOUSE UPDATES

SAN DIEGO

Todd & Katie Corrigan

• We launched our VOUS YOUTH SD ministry at our first Compel Night. We had 32 students show, which is HUGE because we currently only have 2 students as a part of our congregation! With high school, young adults & adult leaders, we had a total of 67 people for that event. • Our SATURDAY SERVE month rounded out with some great servant leaders painting & updating our bathrooms, & our Heart for the House offering was over $40,000 with more still coming in. • We recently had our first Visionary Leadership Conference & it was a huge success. We had 76 people in attendance, many of whom had never been inside of our church!

HARLEM

Taylor & Kristen Wilkerson

• The attendance from our first Gathering was 123 people. We had over 40 servant leaders and 7 salvations! Our team was so encouraged by the outcome because we had only ever had 50 people at our launch meetings. We were challenged to be even more excellent in our serving & to be actively bringing people. • One of the biggest miracles in our Harlem campus has been the building we were given! Right before our first Gathering, we were able to finally gain access to properly meet on one level. • We are so looking forward to our Heart For Harlem outreach events this holiday season. We are having a H4H Halloween Party where we will provide groceries to the families in our community, as well as provide an exciting event for children with a costume contest, photo booth, candy bar, pumpkin painting, face painting & more!

VOUS CHURCH

Rich Jr. & DawnCheré Wilkerson

• Since our launch, 198 people have decided to make Jesus their Lord & Savior. With an average of 800+ people in church & over a 100 servant leaders, each week continues to feel more & more special. • We are already making an impact in the community through our I LOVE MY CITY outreaches. Last month about 50 servant leaders helped organize the Miami Rescue Mission’s thrift shop & made over 500 harvest bags for children in the community, filled with goodies & a handwritten note letting them know Jesus loves them! • VOUS CREWS have been taking over the city every other week for small groups. Now over 200+ people in 16 CREWS consistently meet in coffee shops & restaurants in the Wynwood area.

CONNECT GROW SERVE The fall season of Connect Groups has been such a huge success! We have over 60 Connect Groups meeting throughout the week at various locations across our city. If you would like to join a Connect Group please visit our trinitychurch. tv and find a group that best fits your schedule and personal needs! Don’t forget that our Spring Season of Connect Groups will begin in January. Check out the Connect Group Showcase in the lobby in the beginning of January.

Did you know that we have Grow Discipleship classes that meet every week? We believe that growing together in our walk with Christ strengthens our day-today, behaviors & thoughts. Starting January we will be relaunching the way we do our Grow Classes. Check out Trinitychurch.tv for more information.

Join a Trinity team by stopping by our VIP tables in the lobby or by choosing a team online at Trinitychurch. tv under the GET INVOLVED tab. The process is simple & quick! We believe that servant leadership is our identity and we want you to be a part of this family. You can also join us every month at our DNA Gatherings!

DNA is our monthly service for all Servant Leaders, open to everyone who’s on team or wants to join a team here at Trinity Church. The DNA service is where the heart of our church connects with the Servant Leaders who make it happen. It’s a great time of worship, connectedness, food, with a leadership thought from Senior Pastor, Rich Wilkerson... and sometimes there’s even games!. We have such amazing Servant Leaders here at Trinity Church, where Honor is our Calling... and each month we are so excited to honor and appreciate four of them for being excellent, staying positive and having a heart for people!

WE ASKED SOME OF OUR DNA AWARD WINNERS THEIR THOUGHTS ON SERVANT LEADERSHIP... “What I do is due to God’s growing effect in my life. I serve because He was the best servant. I want my actions to be a sweet aroma unto the LORD. Working with children reminds me to have true faith.” — Beatrice Jourdain / KidZone,

“Being a servant leader is all about having the opportunity to be like Jesus Christ. Because He Himself said, “I didn’t come into the world to be served, but to serve.” — David Samuel /

“Being a Servant Leader to me means to love people. In other words, accepting people for what they are, no matter what!” — Roan Pacheco / Worship

“Being a Servant Leader is an amazing way to make a big church feel small by getting plugged into one of the ministries. My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment to help usher people towards Jesus.” — Lisa
