Tea and biscuits: Hilda and Wicksteed Park Manor House Museum Saturday 4th August, 11.30am - 1pm Tracey Clarke from Wicksteed Park will delve into the history of the park and the central role of Charles Wicksteed’s daughter, Hilda, in helping to create the park we know and love today. Morning Campers! The British Holiday Camp Manor House Museum 9th June – 8th September Did you know that the first Holiday Camp appeared in 1894 on the Isle of Man? With the arrival of Billy Butlin in the 1930s, holiday camps were beloved by generations and dominated the British holiday scene in the 1950s and 1960s. Find out what was in store for intrepid holiday goers of the past and celebrate our own local ‘holiday at home’ destination, Wicksteed Park, in this lighthearted exhibition for all the family.

Local Treasures:
The British Museum Comes to Kettering
A 1500 year old necklace, a mysterious mirror and a quirky Roman hockey player return home for the first time in nearly 100 years. These world class objects, on loan from the British Museum, were found in the Borough of Kettering and will be on display alongside other local treasures.
