Around the World in 18 Frames Jodie Neely Alfred East Art Gallery Heritage Facets Textiles Art Group Alfred East Art Gallery 25th February - 8th April Using the starting point of Boughton House, the group show a diverse range of techniques and images to convey the beauty and importance of our heritage from every perspective.
Evening Viewing Thursday 16th March, 6-8pm Alfred East Art Gallery 4th March - 13th May Now is your chance to take that once in a lifetime trip. Pack a bag, slap on some sunscreen and see the world, all without the hassle of the airport. Through 18 frames, follow the journey of artists from the Art Gallery’s Permanent Collection as they visit Morocco, Japan, Australia and many more of your favourite destinations. Alfred East Art Gallery 25th February – 8th April This exhibition by printmakers Jan and Andy Peel explores Echoes of the Past and records the passing of time using found objects, old photographs and vintage cameras to take images. :
An exhibition of 150 mini prints made by 92 artists working across the region, the country and internationally. Almost every printmaking process is represented including intaglio, lithography, relief, screen printing and digital prints.

The Alfred East Art Gallery pledges to display all of the submissions entered and there will be the chance to win prizes. Both Roger and Nannette enjoy painting landscapes in the open air and then upgrading the results in the studio to finished paintings. Whereas Nannette prefers painting in oils and watercolour, Roger takes on a different approach and opts to paint in acrylics. Both artists are members of the Leicester Society of Artists.
Shapes and Scapes Annette Sykes Alfred East Art Gallery 28th June – 26th July ‘Observations’ is Annette’s latest body of work capturing poignant, amusing and quirky moments experienced throughout her life. Rendered in linocut, etch and carborundum, this collection will combine with her colourful ‘Seascape’ work to give the viewer a visual delight not to be missed!

Manor House Museum 21st January – 22nd April Relive childhood memories with this charming exhibition of paper and card toys. The collection includes paper dolls, model theatres, puppets, panoramas and cut-out books dating from the 1880s to the 1960s.

Alfred East: Monet of the Cotswolds by Paul Johnson
KOS Copacabana March Visit the KOS Musical Theatre Company display to find out about their up and coming April production of Copacabana at the Lighthouse Theatre.
Friday 17th March How an oil painting by Alfred East passed as a work by Monet for 60 years before 2010, and why this led to the placing of many of East’s works in Upper Swell, near Stow on the Wold.
Lacemaking by Delia Thomas Friday 28th April Delia looks at the lacemaking industry in one of its heartlands – the East Midlands, in particular Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
Kettering Lodge Bowls Club April The display shows the history of the club, founded in 1880, together with an outline of what a bowls club can be today.
Targetcraft Archers May Targetcraft Archers are a target archery club based in Rothwell and Desborough. They shoot on a regular basis throughout the year with a venue for indoor shooting throughout winter months.
Life and Death in Plantagenet England by Mike Ingram Friday 19th May This talk looks at late medieval English society, the importance of religion in their everyday lives and gives an insight into how they thought, lived and died.

Friends of Kettering Library June The Kettering Library Friends are a group of local people who care about supporting library services. Events include activities for children in the holidays, free film shows for children, craft fairs, health and well-being fairs and a programme of talks.

From its collection of more than 4,000 reels of film the Northamptonshire Film Archive Trust are screening two amateur movie films showing scenes from the Kettering area. Including footage of the opening of Wicksteed Park (1921) and the Coronation celebrations.

Museum & Art Gallery Events Family Fun Days
Children’s Craft Activities Join us every school holiday for a fun-filled programme of craft activities for children aged 3 and over. Visit the Museum or check the website for more details nearer the time www.kettering.gov.uk/museums. We ask that all children are accompanied by an adult. Session 1 starts at 10.15am and Session 2 starts at 11.45am and lasts approximately 1 hour. £3 per child, £2 with a Kettering Leisure Pass, free to Young Friends. Booking is recommended as spaces fill up quickly.
