LOGOS

A brand logo is a symbol, emblem, typographic, or the combination of all used by businesses to mark its brand’s identity. Having a unique logo helps your customers to identify & remember your product and quality of your brand.

It’s important that your logo is responsive and can be used in a variety of different spaces. That’s why variations of your primary logo have been designed.

06

This Agave plant is inspired by the original design and essence of the Arizona Desert.

PRIMARY LOGO

You primary logo is the main signature of your brand. This should be used most frequently when space allows for it.

A business tagline that reflects the aim to be a part of the BDB family.

Think of your primary logo as the trunk of a tree and the other logo variations as the branches.

Notes:

In short, the logo embodies the brand's roots and gives consumers a quick reminder of what they can expect, with a nostalgic Mexican feel.

Highlight’s that the business was established in 2017.

SECONDARY LOGO

The secondary logo or known as the ‘alternative logo’ uses components from your main logo but in a different layout.

This Agave plant and when the business was established.

Having this logo allows for more flexibility for your brand. For example if your primary logo doesn’t fit within a certain space your secondary logo can be used instead.

Notes:

The secondary logo has a condensed feel, embodying what the primary logo represents. It removes the tagline while keeping the agave, which represents the business's product, and the established year.

Gives consumers a quick reminder of what they can expect.

SUBMARK LOGO

Adding a coffee bean serves to balance the design and embody the coffee that BDB serves.

The Submark Logo is another variation of your logo with a different layout giving you versatility when using your branding.

Tastetheculture, feelthelove

The tagline reflects the aim to be a part of the BDB family and what the business serves, with the added Mexican breakfast and cafe line. It is wrapped in a ring around the logo mark.

This is to be used when your other variations don’t fit in the required space.

Notes:

The submark is an ultra-condensed, memorable, space-saving logo that includes the tagline and what BDB serves. It contains the logo mark in the center, with its distinctive qualities that you can't miss.

The coffee pot was a distinct icon in the original brand. Now, it has been incorporated into the letter B, along with some steam.

LOGO MARK

Logo Marks are a simplified version of your main logo. This consists of either 2 letters or an icon/symbol. Having something simple works well when you have a more confined space to fill.

Notes:

The simple yet iconic BDB logo, incorporating a pot and coffee bean, creates a distinctive quality and nostalgia that pays homage to the community and owners of the established BDB brand. The acronym "BDB" serves as the logo mark for the brand.

Adding a coffee bean serves to balance the design and embody the coffee that BDB serves.

The letter D from "Del" is morphed within the two Bs to form BDB. This iconic acronym is now part of the BDB family and forms the logo mark, created by the community and owners.

Using a set of consistent fonts for your business is going to be crucial because it sets the tone.

FONTS

Your fonts have been chosen to pair perfectly with each other as well as your brand identity. Having different sets of fonts allows for the design to not be repetitive. By using consistent typography across your brand will make you recognisable and memorable.

11

The semibold font

"Signika Negative" was specifically designed for wayfinding and signage, making it ideal for use in this subheading.

Experience nostalgia with our exclusive Barista Del Barrio coffee mug. Featuring our name, it's the perfect way to remember to "Taste the culture, feel the love!" as you sip your coffee.

The playful and bold personality of this font makes it well-suited for headlines, giving them a charming look.

Signika Negative is effective due to its low contrast and tall structure, which allows for impactful calls to action.

COLOR PALETTE

Creating a distinct and complimentary color palette is going to be an important part of building brand recognition. Your color palette will be used across your socials, stationery, website and so much more. On the next page is the proposed color palette and why it’s been chosen or your business.

14

A lively and cheerful color can evoke Mexican nostalgia, bringing warmth and joy to a brand. Its orange tones are linked to a spirit of adventure.

BARRIO BEIGE CANELA CREMA SEA GREEN AGAVE BLACK

Representing tranquility, this color enhances the natural aspect of the brand and supports its print materials, distinguishing the brand's core nature from its marketing nature.

Colors resembling loyalty and trust are core to BDB and its values. The brand is grounded by the colors of cinnamon, connecting it boldly to the earth.

This calming and soothing color adds to the already serene and lively environment of BDB, bringing a sense of elegance and sophistication, and promoting relaxation.

Touching on the agave symbolism within Mexican culture, this also adds to the brand's earthiness. Its darker shade compliments marketing materials and vitalizes the rest of the palette.

Associated with sophistication, this timeless color further adds strength to the brand's palette. It can be used to support text, headlines, body copy, and more.

DESIGN ASSETS & ILLUSTRATIONS

Illustrations & patterns are an exciting element to your brand. This is where you can bring in your brand personality and create a memorable brand experience.

It’s also an effective way to build brand recognition that carries through your business’ physical presence, at every touch point, and helps you maintain cohesive branding.

16

A brand pattern was designed for areas such as food packaging and background elements, adding a fun and youthful quality to the brand. Iconic imagery, such as the burrito, cinnamon, and the popular "Horchesso," was incorporated into the design.

A starter set of brand stickers not only provides a marketing opportunity for our generation of sticker-loving youth, but also adds an element to the branding of BDB.

Additional pattern assets can be added to marketing materials and packaging with a modern twist. You can also use icons from the brand pattern to enhance the visual appeal.
