The facade is created with the concept of a sky of stars. By composing the bata krawang with rhythm and repetition, it creates the dynamic and energic effect. The concept of a sky of stars is inspired by the site. From the window of the hotel room, we can see a field of stars that decorate the sky. The other attraction point is in the entrance of the building. The mass itself are inspired by the spaceship of the modern world which could explore and visit the star that are seen from the window of the hotel someday.

The name Titik Temu means meeting point in Indonesian. The district will is placed near Gedebage Bandung
Highrise building is being built everywhere on the populated city. The building build tends to gain economic benefit by opposing the competitor. But why don’t we build a bridge instead of wall to support each other? Gedebage District, Bandung
THE SYNTHESIS ISSUES
Less green Area
Massive Consumption Lack of Public Transport
Bandung is one of the largest city in Indonesia. With its unique bowl-like topography that surrounded by four mountains, the climate and view in the city attract migration from other cities. Gedebage projected to be future city centre will attract a lot of citizens in the future while the site characteristics are vulnerable to flood because of the topography disadvantages.

The synthesis beside created from 3 main issues such as Hyper dense city, Bandung City condition, Green design concept. The problem from 3 issues need solutions such as connecting buildings, integrated transportation system, produce resources, sub-district centre, barrier-free design and food trade system. By following the solutions, the Titik Temu District will be ideal Hyper dense city development of Bandung City in the future.
HYPER DENSE CITY (?)
WHY CONNECTION MATTERS (?)
Urbanization rate in Asia city is the highest in the world. But is it regulated and planned properly to provide efficiency of the citizens living?
Bandung is now one of the most developed city in Indonesia. Problems like a flood, public spaces, and other social problems are being solved right now.
Hyper-dense city is a definition of the city that the number of population per area is relatively high. On this project, the area of 1 million sqm must provide at least 100.000 persons to work or live make it a size of sub-district in Indonesian administration.
But how about traffic congestion and public transport? Traffic congestion still the least concerned problem solved by the government compared to others.
BANDUNG CITY (?) Bandung City is surrounded by four mountain, make it a bowl-like topography. The precipitation level on Bandung City is one of the highest in Indonesia. These conditions make Bandung vulnerable to flood, especially on the South Bandung (including Gedebage).
In Bandung, people tend to spend their time 2-3 hours a day on the road caused by traffic congestion. The loss caused by traffic congestion in Bandung is 4 trillion rupiah ($240 million) a year which mean the inner-city connection is inefficient. By solving traffic congestion, the movement will be more efficient and more connected. Economy and other activities will gain an abundant advantage.
Bandung is one of the largest city in Indonesia, making it the most favourite candidate to be the next hyper-dense city in Indonesia. Problems like a flood, public transport, and public spaces still not really developed in the city. We need solutions to solve all the problem occurs in Bandung City. SUBDISTRICT COMMUNITY CENTER
CONNECTION RIVERSIDE ENVIRONMENT
CONNECTION STRATEGY Humans can’t live alone, so do buildings. This district is planned to have an integrated transportation system, which consists of:
INTERDISTRICT SHUTTLE BUS
INTERCITY TRAIN 1
The public transport system in big city Asia come from a private vehicle to bus transit system to railroad system. Public transport development in Bandung City is now on the bus transit system phase (still developing). If the urbanization level is getting higher and higher by years, planning railroad is mandatory stuff to reach an effective and efficient city.

FOOD TRADE Another way to connect from one to another district in Bandung is the trading system. The site must provide a traditional market to sell the goods to the consumer. On the other hand, one district and another district can trade goods to provide more resource that the district lack off. For example, on Titik Temu district produce herbs the most, but lack off livestock so that Titik Temu will able to get livestock by providing another district with a variety of herbs.
58% OF SITE IS RAINWATER CATCHMENT AREA
RAINWATER CATCHMENT AREA One of the most disastrous problem in Bandung nowadays is flood caused by rain. The rain happened in Bandung are not being absorbed by the ground because of the lack of green area. The water is being transported from higher area to lower area without being absorbed, so when the water comes to Gedebage (lower ground of Bandung), it become a disaster. In this district, we dedicated 58% of our area for the rainwater catchment area
