For the Gestalt psychologists, the term field was the term and metaphor of cognitive spaces subject to high dynamics of change. Every cognition reorganizes a field.
As such fields expandable by knowledge, we want to understand in this book „Future Fields of Communication Desgin”. And these are highly expansive: Many of today's communication designers are already working beyond the boundaries of the field. In this respect, what communication design is currently and will be in perspective can also be described by where it expands.
This publication is an attempt to re-explore the shifting boundaries of the subject. And at the same time it is an attempt to describe our study program, which is strongly oriented towards future potentials, under this perspective in its structure, its teaching methods and some final papers.
