Design Brief : We were required to make a product aiming to solve a common problem using a different pproach It foremost important aim solving the problem and coming up with possible solutions and techniques. Keeping in mind that the product should fulfill their wants for that specific set of people. Process : Keeping in mind the basic design process and following it’s steps : • Inspiration or Problem • Troubleshooting • Relating with the Existing Scenario • Defining the Clientele • Uniqueness of the Product • Creating Design • Final Output
Rather than carrying 3 or more pair of shoes, We decided to come up with a solutions in which one can carry parts of the different shoes for better space management and less weightage. One can have a set of changeable pair like the upper and lower part of the shoe; which can be attached according to the need of the person. Upper part of the shoe can be having various types like -

IDENTIFIED PROBLEM Problem
: Usually before going for trekking, the biggest challenge for them is to minisze their luggage so that they have to carry less weight but at the same time, they carry all their essentials.
Identified : Though how much one tries, their luggage weight Problem always get increased because of the different type or range of shoes they have to carry. On an average basis, one ends up taking one pair of • Sports Shoe • Floaters • Slippers
RECTIFICATION Few problems or issues may arise during the implementation of the proposed ideas : • Both the parts may not fix together properly. • It might seperate while walking due to the pulling force. • The sole can’t be rigid as it need flexibility for walking • To many parts to attach and detach • It may not be easy to attach and dettach • The parts may not fall into place for proper balance • It may not look stylish due to different attachments.

Problem Solution : Designing a product which can help one deprive of carrying so many pair of footwear while trekking. The result can be acheived by applying technical approach through various techniques. But the main objective is to reduce the weight of carrying the pairs of footwear generally required i.e • Sports Wear • Slipper • Basic Shoe Outome : People who do trekking will • Save more space while packing • Carry less weight compare to carrying 3 whole pairs. • Spend less money compared to buying 3 pairs.
IMPLEMENTATION Reducing the Weightage
: It can be done by making 2 upper and 2 lower parts for the Product which will result in making the 3 generally required footwear which are • Sports Wear • Slipper • Basic Shoe
Possibilities for : We can apply few techniques of attachment like Attachment • Cufflink Mechanisms • Crampons Functionality • Principle of International Charger • Principle of Compaqable Tent Rods / Blind Stick • Concept of Lego Overall Impact ; It should be easy to attach and dettach whereas, it should withstand the focus while walking.
