Aula365 visits Bett 2014! W

ith all the knowledge, experience, confidence and excitement that Bett 2014 promises, Aula365 visits this exhibition again on its 30th anniversary!   This is Aula365 6th presentation at the BETT choosing this exciting event to present its newest product: Aula365 School. This new tool will help teachers and students make the most out of their classes while enjoying the learning process through the development of creation skills and innovation.   A lot has happened and changed in the educational market, and we are proud to say that today, Aula365 School is an amazing resource for teachers who

want to improve their students’ skills, participation, innovation, creation and learning.   In this world’s leading

event for learning technology, Aula365 chooses to present this new solution.   We recognize the challenges being faced by

school authorities in all educational levels. The team behind Aula365 has worked hard to develop an enriched learning atmosphere, with

multi-language and multimedia content.   The constant evolution of the education sector means that school leaders and management teams are finding themselves working in a fluctuating environment, now more than ever. Aula365 School provides guidance and insight to support these issues through a range of amazing videos and a social network for kids to interact in. The new trend in education is therefore answered by providing an adaptive learning and critical thinking in the classroom.   We look forward to seeing you in our stand F156! Pablo Aristizabal

THE HUMAN CELL The Nucleus Contains the genetic information. Chromosomes Filaments that contain genes. Each human cell contains 23 pairs.

THE NUCLEUS

What is DNA? It´s an extremely long and complex molecule that contains all of the information necessary to build and maintain an organism. In humans, it can be found inside a special area of the cell called the nucleus.

CELL

Desoxirribosa Built by sugars and phosphate groups.

GENE

A sequence of nucleotides of DNA. Each Chromosome contains hundreds of genes.

I we could untangle the DNA contained in each human cell, it would have a length of 2 metres. If you could untie the DNA of all of your cells, it could round trip the sun…. 500 times!

This nucleotide chains create a kind of spiral staircase called “Double Helix”.

Structure

Cytosine

Each DNA strand is built by two chains formed by chemical compounds called “Nucleotides”.

Rotation and translation

How do you go green? Share Your Eco-Tips! Tell us about it here: newspaper.aula365.com/ecoplanet

H

ave you ever wondered why the day and the night exist? The change of days, the pass of time and the changes in the seasons during the year are the most evident consequences of the movements of the Earth.   We believe we stay still, but we live in a world which is permanently moving. The Earth’s dynamics are responsible for the changes in the climate, the seasons and the sequence of days and nights. But, what is really happening?   On one hand, the planet spins around its own axis, in a movement that is known as “rotation”. This movement is responsible for the succession of days and nights. While half of

the terrestrial globe is lit by the Sun, the other half is in darkness.   On the other hand, the Earth moves around the Sun by effect of the gravitational force. This movement is called “orbit” or “revolve”. In turn, this movement is responsible for the seasonal change. When the Earth is closer to the Sun, it is summer, and when it is far away, it is winter. The movements of the Earth are definitely very important!

What does gravitation mean? Gravitation is the movement of a body caused by the attraction that another body exerts over it.

Recycle to play

How do you imagine an Eco- Robot? Tell us here: newspaper.aula365.com/ecorobot

R

obots are created day by day, but this is very different from the rest. It has been made only using recycled plastic bottles. An ecological way to play.   They are called Bottlerobots. As can be inferred from their name, they are solely made in this type of material. What is incredible is that in spite of the

fact that they do not include lights, sounds and other elements, they are comparable to any other model at sale in toy shops. Its creator is called Antoine Geoffrion.   The designs are very creative, with different colours and

shapes. Most importantly, they present a great advantage: as they have been made using recycling material, they are environmentally friendly. Do you know why? Because recycling means using again. The huge amount of rubbish produced is harmful for the environment.

That is why, the more we can recycle, the more we’ll be contributing to avoid rubbish built-ups and to protect our planet. Surely at home you drink Coke and then you discard the bottles. Don’t you think it would be great to keep them and build your own model of robot? It could be easier than you imagine and very funny!!
