These Sailing Instructions (SI) consist of two sections. This document, –General Rules–, contains rules that affect all races mentioned above. The second, –Regatta Specific Rules–, provides additional details of rules that apply to one particular race in the above list. To complete the set of Sailing Instructions please obtain a copy of the Regatta Specific Rules for the Regatta the boat competes in.
Diese Segelanweisungen (SA) bestehen aus zwei Teilen. Dieses Dokument –Generelle Regelungen– enthält Regeln, die für alle oben genannten Regatten maßgeblich sind. Der zweite Teil –Spezifische Regattaanweisungen– stellt Detailregelungen für eines der oben genannten Rennen zur Verfügung. Um die Segelanweisungen zu vervollständigen, erhalten Sie zusätzlich eine für die Regatta gültige Spezielle Segelanweisung.

The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. (RRS Fundamental Rule 4)

Rules
Regeln
1.1.
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the “Racing Rules of Sailing” (RRS).
Die Regatta unterliegt den Regeln wie in den „Wettfahrtregeln Segeln“ (WR) definiert.
1.2.
The regatta has been sanctioned officially. This does not include new rights of way towards any boat or vessel. Attention is drawn to RRS Part 2 Preamble: "When a boat sailing under these rules meets a vessel that is not, she shall comply with the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (IRPCAS) or government right-of-way rules".
Die Regatta ist durch die zuständige öffentliche Verwaltung genehmigt. Diese Genehmigung begründet keine neuen, anderen Wegerechte der Teilnehmer oder Dritter. Es bleibt bei dem in der Präambel zu den WR Teil 2 festgelegten Grundsatz: "Begegnet ein nach dieser Segelanweisung segelndes Boot einem Fahrzeug, das dies nicht tut, muss es sich nach den Internationalen Regeln zur Verhütung von Zusammenstößen auf See (KVR) oder behördlichen Wegerechtsvorschriften richten."
1.3.
If there is a conflict between the NoR and the SI, the SI will take precedence.
Bei einem Konflikt zwischen der Ausschreibung und der Segelanweisung (SA) ist die SI maßgebend.
1.4.
If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.
Bei einem Sprachkonflikt ist der englische Text maßgebend.
1.5.
Boats may be required to carry cameras, sound equipment or positioning equipment as specified by the Organizing Authority. (SI 16.7 applies)
Boote können aufgefordert werden, Kameras, Positionierungsgeräte und anderes Equipment an Bord aufzunehmen. (Es gilt SI 16.7)
1.6.
On the water judging may be undertaken as defined in SI 16.13.
„On the water judging“ kann, wie in SA 16.13 festgelegt, durchgeführt werden.
1.7.
Boats shall not sail on other course areas where marks are placed and boats are sailing at any time.
Boote dürfen nicht auf oder durch andere Regattagebiete segeln, in denen Tonnen ausgelegt sind und Boote segeln.
