A WARM WINTER Special thank you for Eagle Academy for all pictures!

The first month of the new decade in New York City has been blistering cold. Yet, D11 Key Clubbers like Eagle Academy's have warmed up the community with their kind service and evergrowing presence in Key Club!

"I'm honestly so happy to see eagle academy grow so quickly in the past few years. Showing up in a large, present group to divisional meetings and engaging in community service." -Kiln Chen D11 LTG

Common Pantry: "Our first official service event," said Eagle Academy President Nasir Dorsey

SERVICE SPOTLIGHT: COMMON PANTRY Nasir Dorsey, Eagle Academy

We had recently finalized our roster so we wanted to start volunteering as soon as possible. The common pantry was a possibility that was brought up multiple times in the past so we knew it was good place to start. When we arrived on site, we were split up into two different groups. One group that handled the food directly and another group that took orders from families. We got to interact with many other volunteers and many families that came in. By the end of the day, we ended up providing hundreds of people with meals.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING CONFERENCE Speak to your club president or myself about attending!

Leadership Training Conference, or LTC, is an annual gathering of Key Clubbers from all over New York to celebrate a successful service year and the beginning of a new one. Be part of a three-day, two-night leadership experience. Participate in workshops, network with other Key Club members, elect district-wide officers, and enjoy a high spirited, fun-filled weekend. Registration is now open! Club Presidents, be sure to collect names of people who are interested in attending and register online with your club faculty advisor!

interested in applying and winning awards? Every year, New York District gives out over 100 awards to clubs and individuals who have served so diligently as members of their schools and communities. Our initiative is to commend those individuals and clubs that have gone above and beyond in caring for the community, demonstrating leadership, building character, and staying inclusive to all. If you are a member, committee member, committee head, or board member, there is an award for everyone. Clubs can apply for awards as a whole, which are presented to the club at our annual Leadership Training Conference. Please read the Awards Booklet here for more information!
