Build a dedicated G+ company page, use a current logo and find a vibrant image as your first leaderboard pic. You want it to stand out, be informative and give some insight into what your business does.
Follow people, businesses or brands that inspire you. On G+ there is a wealth of content shared every hour of every day and you must keep up to date to stay informed.
Join communities! This is a great way to find amazing content on G+. Take part in discussions, give feedback and always stay positive with your commentary. You'll find new people to follow and keep your finger on the pulse as to what's happening around the world.
Get posting! Find the key target times for your audience, checkout which communities they hang out in, follow new and exciting people and develop your own unique hashtags and voice for your page.
G+ TOOLS STREAM: A way of showing posts in multiple columns at one time, think Facebook news feed x3. Stunningly visual and a great way to display content to people that visit your page. HANGOUTS: A free video conferencing facility to connect with your employees, clients, community members and new business leads. HANGOUTS MESSAGING: A free text message facility through G+ that allows you to stay in contact with everyone. EVENTS: A great tool that makes scheduling, sharing and finding your company’s events easier. COMMUNITIES: There are so many people willing to help you get started on G+. Communities are a great place to get content, ask questions and most importantly get answers to different topics. One of the best at this game is Martin Shavington, he has a tonne of tips / hints / guides and more! Make sure you follow him and his communities to get started. G+ GIF POSTS: GIF posting is unique to this social medium and is an amazing way to share content. You can make your own, share GIFs or follow communities that make these and post them on a regular basis. They are fun, unique and entertaining and keep people on your page longer. G+ COMPETITIONS: Don't do it! The community on G+ aren't into any type of spamming activity. Competitions are a NO-NO on G+ so don’t make the mistake of putting up something that you would usually do on Facebook thinking that it will work here. Instead of comps use engaging content, share posts, comment on people’s posts, follow avid people and build great lists of what you want to share with the world.
