Appreciation to the Prince of Quality We can not talk about quality at work without creative leaders who instill hope in the way of everyone... As flowers and trees that delight the soul and sight... and herein the real creativity is reflected when these leaders become interested in breeding human beings for that.King Fahd bin Abdulaziz quality center presents sincere thanks and gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz - Governor of Eastern Province, the Honorary Chairman of the Advisory Board of King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz quality center –for his continued support of the center, starting from the approval of the Prince's establishment of the center and his continued financial and moral support to the plans and programs of the center in the Eastern Province .

The establishment of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Quality Center tells profound implications for

the strategic vision of His Royal Highness Prince M ohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, that reflects the aspirations of His Highness to support the Kingdom's shift towards a knowledge society, which requires intelligence, creativity and outstanding performance. Also, this requires educational institutions which have the ability to build creative minds that produce knowledge.

This was under the name of Prince M ohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul-Aziz Quality Center in (26/10/1420 H). His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province has announced changing the name of the center to become (King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz of quality center) during the opening event of the first forum of quality in education in 25/12/1427 AH.

Working on the dissemination and the application of comprehensive quality system to raise the level of educational services in order to achieve the aspirations and expectations of the beneficiaries in the light of the policy and objectives of education in Saudi Arabia. From global to local Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Quality Centre started its journey towards excellence by looking to keep pace with global developments in the field of quality and a different philosophy of non-traditional.The traditional trend of a shift in many institutions started from local to global change But this trend has changed its course in light of the challenges of globalization, which requires smart response that benefits from the positive side of globalization. By changing the pattern of thinking and acting according to the principle "think globally and implemented locally" while maintaining the national and the Islamic constannts and values


King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz quality centre has started using the latest literature on quality management and the best practices in the quality of education.

1. Developing methods disseminating a culture of quality in the educational field. 2. Establishing a framework of quality assurance for schools and working guides related to it. 3. Preparing educational leaders to conform their practices with the philosophy of Total Quality Management. 4. Supporting the participation of schools and education departments in the quality awards. 5. Training improvement teams in schools and education departments. 6. continuing contact with the local, Arabic and global agencies interested in quality.

From Quality to Excellence

2. Three schools in Al-Ahsa received Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance in competitions GCC for the category of distinct school: Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Elementary School , Mecca Elementary School and Ammar Ibn Yasser primary school. 3. Many teachers and students received Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance for the category of distinct teacher and distinct student. 4. Members of the Center received certificates accredited resident and a guide which are approved for the European excellence model from King Abdullah II Center for Excellence in Jordan

From Theory to Practice In order to translate the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz to bring about a qualitative shift in institutional performance , the centre has developed a strategic plan for thw application of quality focusing on six strategic objectives:

Because high expectations and aspirations lead to high performance, the center worked to support and encourage the initiatives of educational and non-educational institutions to participate in the local, Arabic and international distinct awards. This resulted in the following: 1. Seven schools in Al-Ahsa received the certificate of conformity of the quality system (ISO 9000).

Achievements of the Center  Organizing the First Forum for "Quality in Education" Within the center's plan to promote the culture of quality in the educational field, the Center held, in collaboration with King Faisal University and the National Committee for Quality, the first forum of quality in education under the title Alternative Evaluation for Quality at School. It was held with the honor and support of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province. The Forum witnessed an overwhelming response from employees and affiliates of education in all regions of Saudi Arabia , Bahrain and Kuwait.


* Promoting a culture of total quality in the educational field in the Eastern Province and across Saudi Arabia in general by introducing booklets and brochures about TQM, including the following: *Bulletin of the oasis of quality and dealing with themes of total quality management education in the subject matter involved in the writing of a group of researchers interested in the level of quality on the Persian Gulf and the Arab States *Oasis of Quality brochure which deals with TQM themes in education written by researchers interested in quality at the level of the Arab Gulf and the Arab States. *Introducing many papers in conferences, meetings, lectures, seminars and specialized meetings organized by the Center.The Center's Web site. o The Exhibition of the Ninth Meeting for the charities entitled with (quality and charity work) "khubar" The Center provides the latest training programs in all the fields interested in the application of QTM in education and other areas in all departments of education in the Kingdom. the most important programs offered include the following: o Managing the transition to quality management. o staff training and selfimprovement teams. o quality applications in the classroom. o Guarantee the quality of education o quality management systems. o Effective use of (PDSA) to achieve excellence in quality o How to set standards and signs for quality?

The team work of the Centre has access to best practices in the quality of education at the global level. It is released on CD or brochures, after translation. so far the first issue which was about the Australia's experience in the quality of education has been issued as a start. • Supporting researchers interested in quality

Such visits are part of an integrated action plan.

The Centre is keen to participate in exhibitions, meetings and conferences related to quality in all parts of the Kingdom.
