O Lamar RoShaun Meriwether a.k.a. “Red”was born on September 28, 1993 to Lawrence Meriwether Jr and Brandis Foley in Austin, Texas. From birth Lamar was a happy person. He was a beautiful baby and grew into an even more beautiful man. We, his family, could always count on nothing but jokes from him any time we were together. If he wasn’t telling some type of funny story, he was definitely doing something goofy to make us laugh. In his short life, Lamar faced some adversities that would’ve made an older person give up. But he took it all in stride and kept it moving. His children were his pride and joy. He loved them with his WHOLE heart. His parents, Lawrence and Brandi were his bright spot and his good place. He flourished in the presence of these five people. Lamar joined the New Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church at a very early age, under the pastorage of the late Rev. A. R. Evans, Sr.. He was an active member of the Youth department. He sang in the youth choir and participated in all youth activities. He attended school in the Austin I.S.D. and Round Rock school district. In middle school Lamar attended the Gus Garcia Middle school in it’s first year being open, and played on it’s inaugural football team. They were able to go undefeated and win the City-wide championship. Lamar is gone from us but we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Cicero Foley, great-grandparents and several uncles. Lamar leaves to cherish his beloved children Aa’Yani Zaniyah Meriwether, Kendreion Cordell Meriwether and Tzimorii Divan Meriwether (Apryl Hunt). He also leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Lawrence Meriwether Jr. (Terri) and Brandis Foley. His grandparents, Lawrence Sr and Catherine Merwether, Beulah E. Matlock (Benjamin). His siblings Desiree (Breana) and TaTyana, David Meriwether and Marcus Alexander. Aunts Anissa Thompson (Edwin), Andrea Patterson-Foley (Phyllis), Uncles, Antonio Meriwether (Shenita), Joseph Foley Sr, Steven Meriwether (Chiquitina), Calvin Meriwether (Ashley) a special friend Nettie Martinez, a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends.
