General Information We want all children to be able to relax and enjoy their holidays, whilst getting the most out of their time with us. The activities and day care programme are supervised by King’s St Alban’s staff, assuring you of the highest quality in care and professionalism. We will encourage all children to participate fully with maximum effort, whether physical or academic. The structure of each activity allows children to enjoy themselves whilst learning to think more creatively, play sports with greater skill or become more confident and self-assured. Each day includes two breaks, giving the chance to re-fuel with a snack and drink, which we provide. Lunchtime, which lasts an hour, allows for siblings and friends taking part in different activities to eat together and then play games or relax. Parents are required to provide a packed lunch every day. Swimming kit should be brought in each day as there are regular opportunities for fun swim sessions. Children can be signed in anytime from 8.00am. You may park on the school playground until 9.00am, after which time the space will be used for the children. Sign-in time is an ideal opportunity to ask questions about the day and to pass on any information, including pickup arrangements, to a member of the day-care team. Once signed-in, your child can join any of the free choice activities which include an art table, sporting activities and games to keep them occupied whilst the majority of children are arriving. Children will be offered a similar range of activities at the end of the day. Signout time is an opportunity for our team to give feedback on the day and for you to collect any work produced before taking your children home happy and exhausted.

All children must be collected by 5.50pm. Our day-care team work very hard to ensure that your child has a fantastic time and we reserve the right to charge an additional fee of ÂŁ5 per 15 minutes for late pick up. This includes collection after 4.00pm if a short day has been booked or 9.00pm for an evening session. You will be able to contact the Holiday Club leaders via email at ksaholidayclub@ksw.org.uk Please use this address if a different person will be collecting your child (for which a password will be needed), if you need to pass on important information, or if you just want to check that your child has settled in and is happy. No money is to be brought to Holiday Club by children. Mobile phones should be handed in to a member of the day-care team on arrival and collected when picked up.

At Holiday Club we believe that children will flourish best in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement, where everyone knows what is expected of them. We concentrate on encouraging good behaviour and ensuring that children enjoy their time here. Staff treat children with respect, promoting an atmosphere of trust; Should that positive atmosphere be compromised by disruptive or inappropriate behaviour our staff will explain to the children involved why such behaviour is unacceptable – if the problem cannot be resolved, staff may have no choice but to exclude the child(ren) from Holiday Club.

Although we take great care to ensure the safety of children at all times. We cannot accept liability for personal injury or loss of property that may occur. Parents should make their own arrangements for personal injury insurance if they wish to do so. All children attending The King’s School Worcester (including King’s St Alban’s and King’s Hawford) are covered, if subscribed, by the general personal accident insurance scheme.

If your child does not already attend The King’s School, fees must be paid in advance by cheque or on-line payment (details on request). For King’s pupils, fees may be added to the termly bill if booked by 23rd March. Childcare vouchers may then be used to settle these accounts.

Please check the website, or follow us on Twitter @KSAHolidayClub for more detailed information about the activities, including timings, and answers to other frequently asked questions.

In the event of cancellation, without prior notice, we will retain any fees paid.
