When you need career advice, just call King’s Careers & Employability on the day you would like advice, and book a Career Guidance appointment. This is a 20 minute appointment with a Careers Consultant, for you to discuss anything from career options to job applications.
Practice Interviews If you have an upcoming interview, we provide you with an opportunity to practice for it, using the actual job description for the vacancy.
Careers Resources Our careers library is stocked with resources from general topics such as creating the perfect CV and cover letter, to specific information like careers in pharmacy. Just come in any time we’re open and have a browse! All our resources are available online at careerstagged.co.uk.

King’s Careers & Employability dedicates entire weeks to certain sectors, with events such as employer presentations, employability talks and networking sessions.
King’s Careers Fairs are your opportunity to meet top employers in your sector. Find out about particular recruitment processes, and get your name known within organisations you might want to work for.
As well as these major events, King’s Careers & Employability also run smaller events such as talks from employers, How To sessions to improve your CV and cover letters, and employer hosted webinars so you can interact with recruiters from your computer. Internship Programme
Working for a small or medium business, you will be paid at least the National Minimum Wage, which is not subject to any tax or National Insurance contributions.
The Internships@Kings scheme offers students from any discipline the opportunity to apply knowledge gained from academic study into a professional working environment on campus. Quality internships are available in various academic and central departments, lasting up to twelve months at any of King’s’ five campuses.
If your degree offers an internship module, you can undertake an assessed internship for academic credit. Plenty of support and guidance is available for you to successfully find and complete a quality internship placement, allowing you to gain invaluable experience for when you graduate.
