elcome to your complete guide to King’s Legal Careers Week 2014, dedicated to bringing leading practitioners, alumni and graduate recruiters on campus. The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London
At King’s we are developing the world’s next generation of lawyers and legal minds and if you aspire to a legal career, understanding the sector in which you wish to work will give you a competitive edge. Whatever your year of study, these sessions will encourage you to develop the skills required for rigorous research of your options and the knowledge necessary for successful applications . King’s own research into the qualities sought by legal graduate recruiters identified commercial awareness, intellectual rigour and a global mindset as being crucial to success. You can choose to attend sessions which help you better understand these concepts and use them to make compelling applications. King’s Legal Careers Week will prepare you for King’s Law Fair (21, 22, 23 October), enabling you to have meaningful conversations with participating firms, and taking that essential first step into your legal career.
