2020 Census Workers Visiting Soon! Have you been unable to respond to the 2020 Census online, over the phone, or through the mail? Not a problem: 2020 Census workers will be going door-to-door this month and visiting residences that have yet to respond, all while taking precautions recommended by public health agencies to help keep you safe from COVID-19! When a 2020 Census worker visits your residence, ensure that they are who they say they are, and ensure they show you their badge! Every 2020 Census worker will have official photo ID, and that photo ID will feature a United States Department of Commerce watermark. Would you rather not speak with a 2020 Census worker? It’s not too late to take the 2020 Census online at www.my2020census.gov today! You matter: be counted!

Each year, the City completes a comprehensive annual financial report, or CAFR, which is then audited by an independent firm of certified public accountants. The City’s financial statements have been audited by Hochschild, Bloom & Company LLP. The objective of an annual audit is to determine if the financial statements of the City are presented fairly and free of misstatements. An unmodified (“clean”) opinion was issued by the auditors for the year ended December 31, 2019. The CAFRs for the past eleven years, along with other financial information, are all available on the City’s website at www.kirksvillecity.com/finance!
