Only Rain in the Drain In the coming months, you will notice new metal medallions on our stormwater drains throughout the city! These medallions are to remind everyone that dumping is not allowed in the municipal stormwater system. Help ensure our watershed remains a quality source of water for you and your family. Remember: “only rain in the drain!” For more information, contact the City Engineer at 660.627.1272.

Winter Weather is Here! We would like to remind you that when winter weather comes, please be prepared to shovel your public sidewalks! City ordinance requires either the tenant or owner of a property to remove snow and ice from public sidewalks within 24 hours of the end of a snow event. If you are a tenant, you should have an understanding with your landlord about who is responsible. We see more and more people using public sidewalks for exercise, recreation, and walking to work or school. Please be considerate of your neighbors and ensure your sidewalks are clear! For more information, contact the Codes Department at 660.627.1272.
