Meet Your City Council Candidates You will have a chance to meet your candidates for City Council at the annual Candidates’ Forum, hosted by the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018! This year's event will be held in room 151 of the Inter-Professional Education (IPE) building (more commonly known as the Dental School) on the campus of A.T. Still University. Candidates will be available to speak with the public at 5:30 pm, and the forum will begin at 6:00 pm. Then, cast your ballot on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, for one of the following three candidates for City Council: Phillip Biston, Glen Moritz, and Kevin A. Alm. All City Council positions are three-year terms.
The City’s Spring Brush and Limb Pick Up is scheduled for April 9 through 13, 2018! The Public Works Department’s Street Maintenance Division will begin picking up tree limbs and large brush on Monday, April 9, 2018. Although the work is expected to take the entire week, to guarantee pickup, your brush must be placed curbside by 7:00 am, Monday, April 9, 2018. Daylight Savings Time is almost here! On Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 2:00 am, be sure to move your clock forward one hour to 3:00 am. When you do, be sure to also change the batteries in your smoke alarms!
@kirksvillecity
The Fire Department would like to remind you that a smoke alarm with a dead or missing battery is the same as having no smoke alarm at all! Here are some tips to help ensure your smoke alarm protects you and your family:
@kirksvilleparks
Test your smoke alarm every month.
@kirksvillePD
Change the smoke alarm battery when you change your clocks.
