New Middle School • Needed to relieve current middle schools and the future growth coming to the middle schools from the elementary schools. • Capacity at the middle schools is 800 students. • Capacity will be passed in 2015 if no growth occurs. • It takes 30-36 months to build a middle school. Therefore, to prevent major overcrowded conditions at the middle school, the District is being a little proactive and preparing for the growth it knows is coming from the elementary schools. • The year the middle school opens will be the smallest it will ever be.
