Pushing the boundaries of preservation to reveal more than existing building fabric, "History: an argument against historic preservation" is an ongoing series dedicated to the telling of memories, myths and meanings. Archeological in nature, the work uncovers latent site memories to evident them in contemporary additions and insertions. Metaphor, narration and wit serve as primary tools in this timely strategy as we examine the past, in order to speak to the present and project into the future. Past significance and present desires become unlikely bedmates in this layered, yet revealing relationship.
