The most popular tourist and spa spot is Wysowa-Zdrój. The resort is situated in the south-west, highest part of the Low Beskids, in a small valley by the Ropa River. First and foremost, it is known for its mountain climate and underground mineral waters – acidulous sodium-bicarbonate-chloride waters saturated with numerous trace elements extracted from 11 springs.

Wysowa-Zdrój is surrounded by forests which grow on nearby hills creating a beneficial climate. Their greenness allows us to relax and de-stress. The area is attractive due to very little level of air pollution – there is no industry and no big settlements. People who live in the area earn their living mainly from tourism.

It is best to admire nature from trails – hiking or cycling ones and bridle paths. The most significant attractions in the commune are connected with nature but we will also find wooden Orthodox churches or pop into stables of hucul ponies. Every year the Feast of Red Pine Mushroom with exhibitions of mushrooms, workshops of folk culture and crafts and an incredibly aromatic ‘Villages of Lesser Poland Smelling of Herbs’ where we can get to know beneficial effects of herbs which grow in the Beskids take place. There are numerous facilities offering SPA treatments with the use of the treasures of the region.
