Commune is located in the area of the Orawa-Jordanów Foothills, in the Rabczańska Valley surrounded by the Gorce Mountains and the Island Beskids, right by the Raba River. Rabka-Zdrój, a spa, is its seat. The resort is surrounded by small, idyllic villages where we will be able to find peace and quiet.

Brine – mineral water rich in elements – is the natural treasure of the area on the basis of which a spa was created. It is a unique place dedicated to the youngest patients. We can take advantage of the healing properties of brine in a mineral water pump room, sanatoria and a brine graduation tower. Brine constitutes a base for a variety of treatments (healing, relaxational and beautifying ones). We may take brine from Rabka home! However, before we do so, we should benefit from what the spa offers.

Nobody – neither an adult nor a child – will get bored in the town. There are numerous hiking, cycling trails and other attractions which will enrich our active holidays. Rabka-Zdrój is also a place where the folklore of Highlanders of Rabka is still living. We can listen to music, singing and admire highlander dances. Museums and art galleries display the history, culture and art of Highlanders. Chabówka is a place where we can visit the Museum of Rail with the biggest collection of railway vehicles. We can visit the Museum of the Order of the Smile, the House of Records and Curiosities, the Puppet Theatre ‘Rabcio’ and a place loved by children – Rabkoland Amusement Park.

A spa for adults and children

Uzdrowisko Rabka S.A. (Rabka Spa JSC) comprises a hospital for children, a sanatorium for children with a guardian and the Natural Therapy Centre. It offers accommodation facilities of various standards for both adults and children and a wide selection of healing treatments adjusted to our health and expectations including the ones funded by NFZ (National Health Service). The Natural Therapy Centre has the biggest treatment facility in Lesser Poland – we can take advantage of over 90 various therapies including massages, crenotherapy with the use of healing waters and biological regeneration treatments. Moreover, they produce bath salts, shower gels, sprays, gels and ointments on the basis of the brine from Rabka.

The brine graduation tower

The brine graduation tower in Rabka-Zdrój is located on the edges of the SPa Park, close to the Mineral Water Pump Room. It is an open-air inhalation place – the first place of this type in Lesser Poland. In the middle of it there is a column surrounded with a wooden grate with blackthorn twigs inside. Brine from Helena borehole goes down from the top of the column and splashes on the twigs creating a microclimate around the tower. Breathing in such air is beneficial for our immune system.
