Welcome to USA

New England: fascino senza tempo 15 giorni – 13 notti / Itinerario individuale in auto 01 giorno: Italia / Boston.

04° giorno: Boston / Rockport / Kennebunkport.

07° giorno: Bar Harbor / Bretton Woods .

Hotel consigliati: 41 North; Vanderbilt Grace Hotel

08 USA

11° giorno: Newport / Chatham, Cape Cod.

d’arte e ristoranti eleganti. Hotel consigliati: Chatham Bars Inn & Wequassett Resort & Golf Course

12° & 13° giorno: Chatham, Cape Cod. Arrivo in Italia

Mardi Gras Indians mask secrets for New Orleans’ carnival

Mardi Gras New Orleans There always seems to be a party happening in New Orleans. Aside from the world-famous Mardi Gras, you can join in festivals dedicated to everything from fine food to zydeco. Even days that would be sombre elsewhere are cause for joyous "jazz funerals" here. But festivals are just one part of the city’s joie de vivre. Whether you are relishing a platter of spicy jambalaya and warm cornbread, or taking in an opera performance in a rowdy bar, you will soon realise that this city takes its fun seriously. The Point

Oheka Castle

- In the tradition of the great camps of the early 20th century

- At the time of its construction, this French-style chateau was the second-largest private residence ever built in America

William Avery Rockefeller’s creation, The Point, lives on as a monument to the grand and fanciful log mansions built by Gilded Age magnates along the rugged lakeshores of upstate New York. The Point in Saranac Lake is so exclusive that the resort reveals its address to guests only after receiving full payment. With only 11 cabins, the Point prides itself on full-scale pampering and old-fashioned grandeur. Each guest’s dining preference sheet instructs the chefs how to create the intricate three- and fourcourse menus for three meals daily. Dining is a black-tie ritual in the Great Hall in the Main Lodge, where nine-metre ceilings offer ample room to display some true Adirondack taxidermy. Head out on a private tour of the other great camps in the Upper Sanarac Lake region on the resort’s nine-metre Hacker-Craft speedboat. The nearby village of Lake Placid, host of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, offers a wide array of activities, from downhill skiing at legendary Whiteface Mountain to public bob-sled and luge runs.

Almost a century ago, financier and philanthropist Otto Hermann Kahn built Oheka Castle in the middle of a 443-acre plot on the highest point on Long Island in Cold Spring Harbour, for an estimated cost of $11 million ($110 million today). During the Gilded Age of the 1920s, Kahn used the 10,126-square-metre, 127-room estate as a summer home, where he hosted lavish parties and regularly entertained royalty, heads of state and Hollywood stars. Discover this world of charming luxury, including beautifully decorated guest rooms—many with views of the 23-acre private estate—and indulge in a whiteglove fine dining experience. Experience Long Island through the Long Island Philharmonic or the Heckscher Museum of Art. Tour other historic Gold Coast mansions, stroll local villages or take a limo to enjoy Long Island's wine country.
