My family This is where I draw the lovely faces of me and my family.

For adults: You can encourage children to do the task by starting a conversation about their family,

who are the members of their family, what they dress like, who is the tallest, who is the shortest, etc.

My toys My toys come in many different colors. What color are your toys?

Talk to children about their favorite toys. Then ask them to draw and color them.

Draw your dream home Everybody likes

of your dreams.

There are some stickers in the middle of the book with pictures of houses. Find them and stick them next to the person or animal that you think lives in it.

Help children find the stickers with pictures of houses and put them in the right place. Then ask

them to draw the home of their dreams the way they imagine it here on this page.

My friends – my class It’s so lovely and merry, when my friends and I play together at school.

You can start the game by drawing the outline of arms, feet or the whole body of every child in the class on a piece of cardboard. After cutting them out, children should guess whose arm, body or foot it is. Start the conversation about who usually plays together within the class. After that every child should do the drawing of him/ her and the whole class on this page. If they like, they can do the drawing of themselves and their best friend.

Finish the drawing The pictures that you see

and see what’s missing.

went through a bit of trouble.

When you draw the missing parts

Have a good look at them

color them so that they look nice.

Encourage children to finish the drawings the way they think is right regardless of a technique they choose.

Mixing colors Try and see what happens when you mix the colors.

After talking about mixing colors, encourage children to try and make new colors by mixing oil paints (as in the first activity). Then ask them to use those to draw and color something that has the same color in nature.

7

Draw in dots Dot, dot, dot, What could it be? It could be a head, It could be a ladybug, It could be anything you want.

8

For this activity children can use crayons, pencils and oil paints (but not felt-tip pens) to draw dots on the paper and make different patterns. However, this activity is not recommended for younger children but do make sure you encourage the older ones to try it.
