The eight sides of my design represent the eight planets of our solar system, each side representing a planet. In order to maintain an even istribution of weight i made sure to repeat the number eight throughout the design to remind viewers of the concept.

Final Model The thread represents the language of the stars in our solar system and the constallations they create. Closer inspection of the tensile thread, you notice that each constellaton is unique in its own way. The light source of my design represents our sun located in the center of our beautiful solar system. The sun is actually a type of star that the planets of our solar system orbit around due to gravitational pull, by far the sun is the most important source of energy for life on earth.
