The Book on Toronto Real Estate
The Book on Toronto Real Estate will introduce and guide you through the world of real estate investing in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This book contains tools and strategies for the first time buyer and real estate investor alike such as how to find your target property, featured up and coming Toronto neighborhoods and exposing the 9 real estate investing myths. There are no shortage of places people will advise you to put your money and begin building your wealth - tax-free savings accounts, stocks, GICs, bonds, hard assets such as gold and silver, and, of course, real estate. There are positives and negatives to every single approach; every investment option has its ups and downs. In this instance and for the purposes of this book, the focus is on Toronto real estate alone because that is what I do best. If you have questions on any of the other asset types, speak with an expert in one of those fields. And when you’re looking at getting involved in real estate investing, think of it as a normal business requiring daily operations. Real estate investing is not a hobby, it is a business. You’ll want to make sure before you begin investing in real estate that you and your partners - be it family, friends or someone else, are 100% committed to moving forward. Do this first - before you put money on the table. I’m often asked “Can I begin investing in real estate if I have a full-time job?” The answer is yes! I’m sure we've all seen the infomercials or online flash ads that feature some guy on a beach sipping on a piña colada. He looks into the camera and claims, “You, too, can have all this only working 10 hours a week!” The truth is, there is no simple, no-risk, getrich-quick real estate system, at least not one that I have found so far. Real Estate by nature is not fast and easy, but it can be richly rewarding if you are willing to put the work into your personal real estate investing business.
