Begin with wonder

Elementary School

O

ur elementary division is a place of wonder, excitement, and hands-on learning. When you enter the classrooms, you see and hear students and teachers completely immersed in thematic “Joy and peace come to our learning experiences. Students are engaged in hearts in knowing that the love small and whole group instruction, along with directed and discovery learning. of God that our children hear at

home is also being shared with

Our teachers help students develop a Biblical them at school. worldview in all areas of study and life matters. With a perspective rooted in biblical underSean and Jennifer Harding standing, students are encouraged to develop independent thinking and grasp their unique wiring. Our teachers foster the transition from concrete to abstract thinking and ideas. We are creating collaborative opportunities and environments that set the stage for stirring the wonder in our students.

Make it fun “Our goal in middle school is to engage students with a kinesthetic learning experience. We use an outside-the-box methodology that integrates stories, games and physical activities to make the information relevant to their world today. Most importantly, we aim to be relational with the student. We get to know them as individuals and apply their unique learning style and abilities so they can develop with confidence and peace of mind. -Tom Harrison

M

iddle school at Fellowship is a wonderful time of growth and transformation as students move from childhood and prepare for high school. Students begin taking ownership of their learning and develop habits for future academic and career success. Many discover how they are gifted academically, artistically, or athletically. Most importantly, they are encouraged to embrace who they are in Christ. Our teachers understand the unique needs of middle school students and bring their subject matter alive with joy and passion, helping students navigate challenges in a creative and fun way. We approach every subject from a Biblical perspective with the rigor needed to provide a strong academic foundation for high school, while intentionally providing opportunities for creative exploration in art, technology, robotics and language. We encourage athletic participation as a supplemental environment for mentoring, developing discipline, and building friendships.

Lead by serving

High School We encourage and equip our students to reach their

highest potential for God’s glory. Learning servant leadership is a process, and we provide ample opportunities to serve others. Through our community service program, students are given the opportunity to show compassion, and connect with those in need, both globally and locally, learning the valuable lessons garnered in selfless acts of service. We desire the whole person--intellectual, physical and spiritual--to be impacted by faculty and staff in an inspiring learning community. Our students leave well prepared to succeed in the global marketplace and to lead with integrity, curiosity and personal fortitude.

Live our faith “The faculty, staff, and students not only feed you what you need to grow, but also constantly challenge you to develop your own beliefs and make your faith your own.” -Jack Tuten

(Class of 2017)

“Fellowship is intentional in the way they grow and encourage their students. It is the underlying spiritual aspects that make Fellowship special and effective in the way they grow and encourage each student. For me, it’s the teachers that truly care about me and my spiritual walk with Christ that have allowed FCS to play a pivotal role in my spiritual growth.” - Jenny Foster (Class of 2018)

PRAISE

We sponsor mission trips as a way to

experience walking hand in hand with others-serving, leading and changing lives together. These experiences expose and broaden the student’s perspective about the real world, moving them beyond the doors of church, home and school.

Walk a mile

Whether it is offering a

listening ear through Urban Confessionals, gathering clothing, delivering meals or supplementing food pantries, we thrive and delight in giving back to those in need.

O

“ ne aspect of Fellowship that I have been able to encounter up close and personal is the GO program. It’s incredible to see the heart that Fellowship students have to serve the community in all different ways and their willingness to put in extra time to serve others.”

-Lauren Bell (Class of 2017)

Dare mighty things The Edison program fosters and nurtures

the potential of students in need of academic “hands on support. We encourage our students to take risks, understand how they learn and advocate for themselves. We instill the confidence they need to thrive in academic and social situations.

Innovate “STEM has allowed me to gain knowledge useful for occupations that I want to specialize in. It has allowed me to focus on what I am passionate about and gives me an advantage for the real world. -Carson Duffy (class of 2020)

S

TEM has become a widely recognized term that reflects a nationwide academic initiative to enable the U.S. to remain the economic and technological leader in the global marketplace of the 21st century. Managing technological change is now a required skill for an educated citizenry. Over the last several decades, STEM related products have changed the very fabric of our society. Our STEM program is focused on preparing students to be global citizens, ready to embrace, inhabit and evolve our economic and social landscape. It includes a STEM Diploma track focused on engineering, digital, life and physical sciences or architectural and industrial design.

Fine Arts T

he mission of our Fine Arts program is to awaken, nurture, and affirm the artisan soul within every student through creative expression. We embrace the arts as an essential element of a well-rounded education. Our extensive, PreK-12 award-winning program includes studies in broadcasting, music, music theory/composition, performing and visual arts (both traditional and digital). This program extends to an Artisan Diploma track at the high school level, equipping our students to create with excellence, and be a living example of Jesus Christ in the Arts community and beyond.

“TREAD is more than just a club at school. Being in the woods with friends lets you connect with them in a way that you will never get in a basement, with your phone, a TV, and other distractions that high schoolers have in life. A lot of people have lost the desire to have a challenge, to be out of their comfort zone; times where you are out of your normal day is when you know who you really are. This is why I do TREAD.”

-Chase Cochran

(Class of 2017)

“TREAD is such a blessing to be a part of and I’m so glad to have it at this school!”

-Lucy Hickey (Class of 2018)

Answer the call

In an age dominated by screens, technology, and social media

TREAD seeks to offer an alternative. There is something fundamentally satisfying about waking up to the sights, sounds and smells of a mountain brook. Nothing on any display can re-create the triumph of reaching the top of a difficult crag and looking back in awe at the expanse of creation. The TREAD program seeks to introduce and challenge students to a deeper relationship with nature. Through the vehicle of adventure, we are calling students to wake up from the unconventional slumber of their generation and quite simply “get out”.

“TREAD is probably the coolest thing to do at Fellowship. We are able to experience God’s creation and have fun at the same time. TREAD allows you to connect to people you normally would not interact with at school. It is amazing and I recommend it to everyone!”

-Olivia Hackney (Class of 2018)

Athletics

he mission of our Athletics program is to honor and glorify God in all that we do while fostering the development of Christian faith and leadership in our student athletes. We value character, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, selflessness, humility, and respect, and we extol these values on and off the field/court. We believe in striving for excellence so our student athletes realize and maximize their God given potential. Our desire is that student athletes at Fellowship will learn great life lessons through athletics and become the servant leaders they are called to be.
