FITNESS CENTER ETIQUETTE The following Kroc Policies are in place to keep all of our members and guests safe. Access to the fitness center is restricted to guests 16 years of age or older (id required), unless enrolled in a fitness center class or completion of the Teen Fitness Orientation Teen members ages 14 & 15 may access the fitness center after completing a 1-hour teen fitness orientation. Members and guests are asked to carry identification and membership cards or day passes at all times. All guests must have a signed facility waiver on file. Towels are required for every person working out in the fitness center. Towels may be purchased at the gymnasium guest service desk for $4 (subject to availability). There is a 20-minute maximum usage time per machine during peak use periods. Classes are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. Appropriate exercise attire required (workout clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes). Shirt and shoes are required at all times in the fitness center.
FITNESS Classes are 50 minutes in length, unless otherwise noted. Classes are offered on a first-come, basis only. To reduce the risk of injury and prevent class disruptions, no admittance will be allowed ten minutes after the class is scheduled to begin. Classes listed in the Fitness and Aquatics Program Schedule and are subject to change without notice. Schedules are available in all Kroc Center venues and at www.kroccenter.org.

SOUL WALKERS Soul Walkers is a one hour walking group. It is a unique opportunity to exercise with your fellow Kroc Center members while talking about scripture. Think of this class as a chance to enrich your body and soul. Led by Kroc Community Church. Class starts April 3, 2013 STEP AEROBICS This class is energy-filled and heart pumping, combining step movements with strength and conditioning exercises on the floor. All levels. ZUMBA ® The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves, resulting in a one-of-akind fitness program. Achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in this exciting calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring workout meant to engage and captivate for life! DANCE WITH ME Latin, hip-hop, swing, ballroom and Jazz all in one fun class! Join Robyn for a dance party every week that is sure to get your heart rate pumping. You do not need to be a dancer to participate, just someone who loves to move and have a blast! ZUMBA ® GOLD This program was designed for the older active adult, a person who hasn’t been exercising in a long time or individuals who may be limited physically. Zumba Gold utilizes the same great Latin styles of music and dance as used in Zumba basic program.
FAMILY FITNESS LIFE OPTIONS KROC FIT KIDS Ages 5 – 8 An exciting and energizing class for kids that will keep them moving without even realizing it’s exercise! The class features elements of gymnastics, tumbling, calisthenics, and traditional exercise movement, all taught with youth in mind. YOGA FOR FAMILIES Fun yoga routine designed for families to participate in together. This class will introduce children to fun, strength and serenity offered through the yoga practice. Children ages 1-3 and parents
BABY AND ME BOOTCAMP Baby and me Bootcamp is a chance for new parents to get a great workout in while their babies watch from their strollers or car seats. This class will include an uptempo combination of cardio and strength training in traditional bootcamp form. The class is designed for parents and infants.

SILVER SNEAKERS I – MUSCULAR STRENGTH & RANGE OF MOVEMENT Have fun and move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills. SILVER SNEAKERS II – CARDIO CIRCUIT Combine fun and fitness to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance and power with a standing circuit workout. SILVER SNEAKERS YOGA STRETCH Taught from seated and standing positions. Participants learn a variety of safe and effective options designed to increase flexibility and balance to improve well being.
STRENGTH TONE, & FLEX SERIES LIFE OPTIONS Ages 16 and over
AM YOGA All of the things expected from a great yoga class, offered at a time to relax and energize participants for the day ahead. BEGINNER YOGA Beginner Yoga is the perfect class if you are looking for an introduction to Yoga classes. This class specifically focuses on stretching a flexibility, so even if you are looking for a relaxing class to help you ease in to the weekend this is for you! GENTLE YOGA A mat-based yoga class with postures designed to improve balance, flexibility, muscle tone, and range of motion. SUNRISE YOGA Greet the sun with a yoga practice that combines gentle warm-ups and a variety of seated, standing, reclining, and balance yoga poses with breath awareness. POWER YOGA A fast-paced, high-energy yoga routine with dynamic, flowing sequences of postures designed to build strength at the edge of flexibility. Expect a challenging and athletic class with rhythmic music and a variety of routines. ABSOLUTE ABS! Work your core like never before. In this session your abs and back get a hard-core workout with stabilizing movements and strength training.
FITNESS BODY SCULPTING Circuit Training workout utilizing resistance training, class cardio exercises, Pilates and isometrics to sculpt and define specific body parts. BURN OUT! Looking for an extra kick? Burn Out! is a full body workout combining resistance training with dumbbells and resistance bands, and cardiovascular endurance drills. KETTLEBELL TRAINING - INTERMEDIATE This class is a perfect combination of Cardio and Strength. Kettle Bell training utilizes weights specifically designed for swinging and rotating in the hand resulting in a high intensity strength training. This is not a beginner class; mid level strength training knowledge is needed in order to participate.
POWER PILATES is an advanced Pilates class that requires a strong core foundation and breathing techniques. ON THE BALL A full body workout on the Swiss Exercise Ball, using light weights, Pilates method for core strengthening & stretching to upbeat music. PUMP! Total body strength and conditioning class utilizing a variety of free weights and band resistance, all while keeping an up-tempo cardio pace. STEP AEROBICS This class is energy-filled and heart pumping, combining step movements with strength and conditioning exercises on the floor. TOTAL TONING Strengthening and toning for the major muscle groups using a variety of strength and sculpting techniques, including dumbbell, and body resistance. Participants tailor their workout to optimize results. TRX TRAINING - INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED With suspension training, gravity and your body will become the machine- building strength, flexibility and core all at the same time. With the dozens of TRX exercises you can experience a total body workout with one simple piece of equipment.

CYCLE CROSS Half cycle & half Boot Camp- this 90 minute workout features the very latest in cross training! Cycle in the Kroc Center’s custom group cycling studio for 60 minutes, then head out for 30 minutes of leg toning, core strengthening, and upper body muscle building that will leave you pumped and perspiring.
KROC CYCLE Hit the hills, power the sprints, chase down the competition and learn firsthand the definition of the word “endurance.” This ride has it all, and it rocks! Solid cycling principles, top-notch coaching, and awesome tunes, all in our custom group cycling studio make this a workout to remember. MELLOW CYCLING Group Cycling with a mellow approach. Paced for beginners, yet challenging enough for the intermediate and advanced rider.

Unlike most fitness classes, Martial Arts courses are offered in sessions. Martial Arts meet every week. Fees are due prior to attending the first lesson of each month KARATE Ages 5+ The Kroc Center offers Karate in the Traditional style Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts. Lead by Sensei Russ Eggleston and Victoria Johnson, Cuong Nhu is a martial art that blends the basic elements of a number of different styles. Cuong Nhu students explore not just technical, but also mental and spiritual aspects of training. TIPS FOR SAFE & HEALTHY SWIMMING •All swimmers using the Competition pool and diving boards must pass a 25-meter swim test. See Aquatics associates to arrange test. •Lap swimming is for children ages 12 and over and adults. Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water. •All children age 3 and under are required to wear swim diapers and plastic pants. •Floatation devices of any kind are not allowed in any pool. Kroc approved lifejackets available for check out at the lifeguard office. •During periods of peak usage, pools may be closed for short periods to conduct required maintenance. •California State Law requires the cooperation of swimmers. Please shower before swimming. Healthy pools are a shared responsibility!
AQUATICS GROUP EXERCISE Ages 16 and over ADULT WATER WORKOUT Stretch, tone, and improve cardiovascular fitness in this slower-paced class designed for mature active adults wishing to Increase range of motion and flexibility. Location: Therapy Pool AI CHI (FLOWING AQUATICS ENERGY) Ai Chi marries the eastern art of Tai Chi with aquatic therapy. It promotes improvements in deep breathing, coordination, balance, flexibility, and muscle strength. Location: Therapy Pool AQUASIZE! A resistance exercise program used to build strength and endurance utilizing specialized water fitness equipment. Appropriate for all fitness levels. Location: Recreation Pool ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION AQUATIC EXERCISE Classes include a series of pool activities led by certified Arthritis Foundation instructors. Participants are guided through a selection of 85 movements designed by exercise specialists, geared to reduce the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. With the aid of water’s buoyancy and resistance, participants improve flexibility, strength and range of motion. Swimming skills are not required. Location: Therapy Pool
AQUA ZUMBA ® The Aqua Zumba ® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves, resulting in a one-of-a kind fitness program in the water. Achieve long-term benefits while this “pool party” burns calories and energizes your body and mind. Location: Recreation Pool DEEP WATER WORKOUT Fast-paced, no-impact class designed to build cardiovascular strength while creating muscle tone. Participants must feel comfortable in deep water. Location: Competition Pool WALL, CORE & MORE 16+ Challenging work out in the Deep Water. Participants will do wall work and cardio while engaging their core muscles. Participants need to be comfortable working on the wall and jogging/ running in deep water. Location: Competition Pool WATER WALKING 16+ A low impact water exercise class with the goal of walking a mile in each class, followed by a cool down of wall stretches. Elevate your heart rate in our warm water recreation pool with a guided, fun and challenging workout. Location: Recreation Pool

Our hope is that more people will take advantage of T & TH the Kroc Center’s Learn to Swim program 5:00 – to develop competency in swimming, 5:30PM along with confidence and endurance. A youth league designed to help improve children’s sports skills while emphasizing fun, sportsmanship, teamwork, and the development of selfesteem. Offering recreational play to all skill levels — and everybody plays! All players must attend the first day of practice for skill assessment in order to be placed on a team. Teams practice on Monday & Friday nights, with league play on Saturdays. Session fee includes jersey, team picture, awards.
