Oxbridge Applications

The sixth form team would like to extend their congratulations to Daniel Mehr, who has received an offer to study Medicine from the University of Cambridge. This is an exceptional opportunity for Daniel who has worked incredibly hard to secure this offer. We wish him every success in his future career.

Career Talks

We have met with some fantastic employers over the past few weeks. Every Monday our sixth formers can join employer talks in the study centre. Students have met recently with KPMG, OMD Media, Schroders and Hill Group. Attending these employer talks gives students the opportunity to find out about apprenticeship and graduate pathways offered by these companies. The talks are really inspirational and many students have been supported and employed by these companies. Coming up we have VCCP advertising, Capgemini, Department for Transport, Deloitte and BGC. We try to offer a variety of different industries to really help them find out about the many career opportunities available to them.

Ms Wheaton

Last week our students took part in their 3rd house week, where students were in vertical forms focusing on the theme of the week 'futures'. We see students creating dashboards to provide a constant reminder of their individual and collective aspirations. Our House Captains and Deputy House Captains delivered assemblies based around the theme of the week. It was great to see students reflecting on their journey and discovering a sense of future for themselves. We also celebrated the most recent house points tally and took the opportunity to remind students of the importance of taking part in as many house events as they can to ensure they are getting the most out of their school experience.

We had a very successful cake decorating competition last night. The winners were:

1st place - Valentina Santos Altafin 7Ne from Murray house

2nd place - Kitty Tabram 7Ca from Hawking house

3rd place - Kimi Oliveira Da Costa from Murray house Well done to all who entered!
