At first glance I thought this was an ad for a sports bar! Great way to create attention. My suggestion – would change the image at the bottom to be more food focused, maybe showing a football spread or something, rather than just the tv.

Love this ad! Great use of colour, making the photo stand out really well. My only critique would be to keep thoughts together in the headline - Storewide Sale then new line: On Now! Keeping the on now together.
Judge GENERAL COMMENT Excellent entries overall. Watch grammar, punctuation, and spelling! Remember, logos don’t have to go at the top of the ad, it’s not the headline.

Amanda Zimmer
General Manager Claresholm Local Press Claresholm, AB Amanda Zimmer is the General Manager of the Claresholm Local Press. She gained her first experience working in a print shop as her after school job in high school. After completing her Printing Management Technologies diploma at SAIT, Amanda joined the staff of the Local Press full time and has been there since 1999!! Amanda loves living in a small community and being a part of the connection people have to each other through their paper. She believes the newspaper is the hub of their community and loves to see people reading and sharing it. Amanda enjoys judging for newspaper competitions! It helps to generate ideas for her own paper and keeps them in check with their publishing standards. Seeing what else is out there helps to step up their own game!
