• PRESENTER: Eric Forkosh, CEO, DribbleUp • PRESENTER: Mickey Ferri, Chief Growth Officer, Enflux • PRESENTER: Jeffrey Ly, CEO, XBoard SFIA was incredibly excited to debut the Start-Up Challenge last fall at the 2016 Industry Leaders Summit. It’s no secret that technology plays a significant role in our professional and personal lives, in business, and in policy and legal affairs. In building off the success of the Start-Up Challenge, we wanted to continue to emphasize the importance and growth of small businesses and new technology and provide an interactive platform for these small businesses to engage and be exposed to legal and operational considerations from industry leaders. So, in conjunction with the legal and regulatory theme of this summit, we are proud to introduce the Start-Up Workshop! This workshop gives three small businesses with exciting new products the opportunity to consult with legal professionals about the best practices to use in order to continue to grow their businesses. In this interactive workshop, each of the three finalists will give a live demonstration of their product, introduce aspects of their business, and then open the floor for questions, discussion, and receive feedback from established sports & fitness brands and season legal experts attending the 2017 LR2MS. In our inaugural Startup Workshop, we are excited to feature DribbleUp, Enflux, and XBoard. DribbleUp, which is led by CEO Eric Forkosh, is a firm with a product that can help all basketball enthusiasts, whether you want to beat your co-workers in a game of pick-up basketball during your lunch break, or you’re a student athlete trying to make the varsity team. DribbleUp is smart basketball that uses smartphone cameras to provide interactive training and improve performance. We are also joined by Mickey Ferri, the Chief Growth Officer at Enflux. Enflux makes Motion Capture Clothing. This exciting piece of technology features clothing with tiny motion sensors that record your body’s movement and transmit the data to your phone or computer.
