Reincarnation of crematorium in Rees (Village in Raigard district) and defining its real meaning with respect to its context


Walls are emerging as a defining pathway to follow ritual of hindu cremation and to move forward from path denoting as life when user exiting space after completion of all rituals.

Walls - Defining pathway

Ritual bed and pyre is placed in a manner to receive more of filtered natural light throughout day, hence connecting life and death as light and shadow.

Cemetry - Semicovered space for cremation

Ghat and water front have platforms to perform rituals also its is adaptable according to users need and one can perform ghat ritual thereitself as water is flowing.

CULTURAL LAB AT SEWRI,MUMBAI DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION-The program is aimed to design a suitable space,a new generation architectural solution for a multicultural activity but it should act as single entity through various methodologies. CONCEPT With all other significant factors of mumbai culture. the lab CONCEPTis designed in a way that it itself expressing new building culture ( revived from past) on site context .which is more connected to earth and can easily followed by local communities and hence reviving history of mumbai . which is neccessary to balance current scenario of mumbai

CURRENT SCENARIO:

• There are large number of heritage forts in Maharashtra ,and the state government of Maharashtra is unable to conserved all forts under ASI (Archaeological Survey of India), due to Shortage of manpower and funds. • But this forts are still visited by people from different part of nation for Trekking,reaserch,mountaineering,camping.

And have an average annual footfall of 1,08,000 But are not provided with public facilities , which indirectly deterioarating the forts, its context and its cultural importance. • In order to overcome this issue faced by large number of state forts ,its visitors,and its local community ,The idea of loo + ota (platform)is proposed a

MULTIPURPOSE SEATING (Interior design) Design concept: concept This unit is a multipurpose seating with portable features .The unit is designed in such a way that it is separated into two modules which can individually be used as multipurpose seating and also can interlock and form a single module. Construction and Fabrication: Fabrication The furniture is made up of steel to make it low cost and light weight, hence giving it character of portability and mobility oil paint prevents it from getting rust,hence it can be used for outddoor purposes too Rubber toe is provided to prevent flooring getting damage also allowing sufficient friction between furniture surface and ground Module: Module

Landscape design Site : Ratnagiri, Maharashtra Concept: The Design concept is to framing the views of Concept Ratnagiri beaches,by providing viewport made up of locally available material i.e, laterite stone , whilst creating a module enhancing user activities like gathering, interacting, relaxing, and playful space for kids Material : Laterite stone (Undegradable from the salinity in the atmosphere)

Design concept: concept Team Parivartan’s first project was in collaboration with beraindrop an NGO whose initiative was to create interactive learning environments. The concept of open classrooms were considered,an open space under existing tree on site which can be used as a traditional classrooms Gurukul and a interactive playing area at the same time
