A) $100 off per bull if picked up sale day.

B) Bulls will be delivered free of charge up to 350 kms of Innisfail as soon as possible after the sale, at the breeder’s convenience. We will work with you as best as we can to get your new bull(s) as close as possible, and most likely right in your yard. We will let you know in advance as loads are assembled to your area.

C) Bulls will be kept at the seller’s farm at no charge until April 1, 2023. After April 1, delivery will be aranged suitable to both the seller and purchaser. All bulls returning to the seller’s farms must be insured.

So many of you know and understand the deep, deep genetic value of the Virginia Ranch program. The herdbull battery is arguably, the best on the continent as far as Fullblood Simmentals are concerned. Not to mention the depth of the cow-herd that they are mated to with these bulls. Ok, so many of us know this already. But, the methodical management that exists is something we should talk about for this years sale. This is referring to the management of the cattle. If anyone thinks that the Virginia bulls are “babied” throughout the summer, or whenever, you’re wrong. Cremona Alberta is great hay and pasture country and the Virginia bulls are all “brought along” in a very responsible way in what I would consider “rough” Western pastures. They, the mother cows, are tested in a very relative situation. Moving on to weaning, the bulls are fed to simply grow naturally, encouraging hair growth and longevity for the new buyers. The VERY LARGE bull pen, more of a paddock, has the feed/water on one end, free choice hay way on the other end and a bed-pack in the middle. They are hairy, sound and don’t worry about looking at their feet, Harry has screened them already, plus the fact in buying their sires, that has been bred in! I’m always impressed with the hoof size on the Virginia bulls, but as much as ever this year! Of course they have the performance that you need for payweight but also look at the sons of “War Cry” and “Rip” for some bonus calving ease.

I could almost say “ditto” to explain the Skywest bulls, particularly with the big feet and soundness. Here you have some great people to deal with, that amalgamate with the Satchwells so well! Again, you will find some excellent sire groups that are designed for various purposes. The building of this cowherd hasn’t been taken lightly, from excellent females to the understanding of how important it is to own the best herdsires to mate them to was noticed early in the development of this program. They saw that if success was to happen, simply, if you want to be in a bull sale with Virginia Ranch, “bring the goods”, or look elsewhere! They deserve to stand alongside the Virginia bulls.

His full brother sold to MAVV Farms & Brian Miller for $46,000 at last year’s Spectrum Bull sale. They report that they are very pleased and had even used him on a few heifers with no problems. She has produced a maternal brother; Virginia Spartan that Skywest Simmentals was using and have marketed semen on as well. His dam produced a daughter (VIRS 923G) that our son Brandon (Satchwell Farms) had the foresight to purchase from us @ the 2020 Western Harvest sale. Stings mother just keeps popping the good ones out. The two sons of hers (Virginia Spartan & Virginia Full Tilt) that have sold averaged $34,000. I believe Sting possesses Purebred Breeder performance.

His mother is a very nice looking Radison daughter. She has produced a son for Lorne Krukowski of Warburg, AB; a son for Curtis Logan of Caroline, AB; as well as a daughter for Century Simmentals of Spruce Grove, AB. When you see a bull that has a dam who is consistently producing saleable offspring every year, they are the ones you should be stepping up to the plate and taking a swing at on sale day.

His mother is a “10” in my books. We have kept his full sister (she is very good) and have sold two maternal

So when she didn’t re-breed this past spring, we love her so much we flushed her to the $80,000 bull – BLL Creed and at print time of this catalogue are flushing her to the $360,000 bull – BLL Rumble. That is how much confidence I have in this cow. Not to mention, Hendrix’ had a full brother that sold to Brian Miller in last year’s sale for $16,000 and we have retained both his sisters in our herd.

Dilutor Free “Kargo’s” dam is none other than VIRS Jasmine 931G who is quickly becoming one of the top cows on the farm here by crushing it with her first 2 calves. Also 931G first heifer sold to Virginia Ranch at this year’s Western Harvest sale. Harry knows what this cow family can do. When we toured Virginia Ranch’s heifer pen in the summer prior to the Western Harvest sale we thought 931G was pretty special and needed to find a way to get her bought. Well the stars aligned at the sale, and we were able to get her bought, Harry has mentioned many times he should have kept her. We are happy he didn’t because she has done everything we have hoped for so far and a week ago, she gave us our very first BLL Rumble 62H heifer calf who is flat out good.  “Kargo” has the colour, bone structure, disposition, length and walking on big black feet like his dam. TERMS The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, e-transfer, or wire and are due at the time of sale, unless other arrangements have been made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Transcon reserves the right to charge interest at a rate of 2% per month on overdue accounts. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for their purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Transcon Livestock Corp and/or the Auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit clearance prior to the sale with the owner or Sale Managers.

BID No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.

SALES TAXES Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos, and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.

DISPUTES In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.

PURCHASER’S RISK Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

INSURANCE Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser at the time of sale and should be insured. Animals returning to the seller’s farm must be insured.

US BUYERS There is an additional charge (approximately $300.00 US dollars) that will be applied to each animal purchased. This covers documentation, vet inspections/testing required to export. This cost does not include transportation or brokerage which is the responsibility of the buyer.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed association and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association.

SHIPPING Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.

BREEDERS GUARANTEE As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price.

EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.

HEALTH It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.

EMBRYO & SEMEN Full settlement must be made before release is done and shipping arrangements should be done within 30 days of the sale unless arrangements made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Shipping arrangements and costs are the expense of the purchaser once release has been given.

ACCIDENTS Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors, or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.

It is to be clearly understood that Transcon Livestock Corp. is only acting as a medium between buyer and seller and is not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does Transcon Livestock Corp. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties. Any legal action that may be taken, in exceptional cases, must be between buyer and seller.
