Several foundation cow families make up the more current lineage in HOSANNA. We were able to purchase her Dam ATHENA 309A from SIBL/CLAY at this very sale in 2013. She has been a solid producer for us, HOSANNA is her first daughter, which makes her very difficult to part with. This cherry red polled female is a highlight of our heifer calf crop this year. Good frame size with great length and lots of middle. We are very excited to get Sugar Ray daughters into production to help build a strong base for our polled program going forward. Whether sons or daughters, his offspring are consistently proving to be strong performance cattle. This girls dam is a large Bulletproof daughter that is a favourite of everyone who sees her. One of her daughters sold as an Equation high seller to Crimson Creek last year and another feature daughter is working down in Iowa at Albert Putz’s. She also raised a good twin sister to Hocus we have retained and has a neat bull calf again this year. Hocus’s grand dam calved in January at 15 years old. Jahari needs little introduction to the industry and I’d venture to he say has had as big an influence on this breed as any bull in the past couple of decades. Most of this influence has come through the production of his daughters. Lady Jane is a big time heifer with style to burn. A special female with a brood cow build, muscle mass and spring of rib. Lots of pigment, dark red and hairy. Her dam is part of the Canadian Donors lineup and is a definite head turner with a very strong udder and lots of body. The cow family backing Lady Jane is one of the most proven and prolific in the breed, racking up features and high sellers.
