Our fellow consignors show up with their cattle a couple days ahead of the sale to settle them in nicely. We couldn’t continue to run this sale without our fellow breeders. We really have a lot of respect for them and for their cattle. It’s sure nice to see cattlemen getting paid a higher price for their calves this fall. Looks like there is plenty of feed reserves as well. Certainly makes the future look bright for cattle producers.

Welcome to Lone Stone Farms Annual Invitational Female Sale! This annual sale has truly become a must attend event for anyone seeking high-quality Simmental and Red Angus bred heifers. The hospitality is second-to-none in one of the most family-friendly sales facilities in the nation. Thanks in advance to Lonnie, Karen, Nathan and Alisha for hosting this great event!

Lone Stone Farms always feature a couple of their best polled heifers, but this year, I believe, the features are truly elite! They have a great pair of polled Cashmere heifers to lead the catalogue, possibly a couple of the best they have ever sold!

The group of heifers is strong with some variety in type, and I would venture to say there’s something for everyone. If you are searching for Red Angus heifers, pay close attention in this group. In my mind, there is always great value and quality in the pen. I always tell myself that if I were to start a Red Angus herd, this would be my first stop. I admire the commitment by the Browns to sell off the top in both breeds year after year.

Troy and Melanie of Diamond T Simmentals alway bring a set of heifers that create quite a stir, and it will be no different this year. This is the only sale you will get the opportunity to source a Diamond T female!

KSL Simmentals travel down from Beaverlodge with a mix of age in their heifers. Keagan and Brad will have a sampling of both calving programs along with some special extra aged heifers. They operate a large commercial herd along with the purebred cattle. They understand what it takes to make the business work.

Swantewitt Simmentals annually bring a strong set of females that are raised in ranch conditions. I’m always impressed by how these heifers progress over the summer and into fall.

Dwajo Angus has a solid group of heifers again this year. This is a hard working family raising hard working cattle. The Emerys are heavily involved in the business and have one of the strongest bull sales in northern Alberta.

You will go a long ways to find a polled female with as much power as Ruby has.

She goes back to a heifer we bought back in 2016 from Amy Peters, Big Sky Bobby Jo 300B. She had a beautiful Laredo calf that spring and since then both cows are now two of the most productive cows in our herd. Both have given us top end calves every year. Since we have kept females in the past it was time to let one go. Joceline 16J is the definition of power. With a very easy going personality she has amazing feet and looks like she will have a great udder just like her dam and grand-dam. She is soggy made and walks around the pen with ease. Oh and the cherry on top is that she is polled. When we bought Cashmere these are the types of females we were hoping to get and this breeding did not disappoint.

Welcome back to the Lone Stone Invitational female sale! Once again we are so excited and thankful to be part of this wonderful group of people and offer some of our top bred heifers.

When we picked heifers to sell last fall in this sale, we really focused on picking ones from cow families that we love and have similar females to in our herd already. It was a struggle as they are all heifers we would happily keep but we decided to offer some of our very best ones that are a true representation of our herd. You’ll find a variety of horned and polled females in our offering. This year we bred all of our heifers to our homegrown sire, Swantewitt Haiti 40H, who has a great calving ease EPD and comes from calving ease lines on the dam and sire sides. It’s our first year using him so we are looking forwards to his calves. There is one heifer on offer not bred to him as she is his sister.

All heifers are on a full vaccine and deworming program having received Express 5, Presponse HM, Covexin, and their first dose of scour guard. They have also received a pour on Bovimectin for parasites.

We decided to offer this beautiful female in the sale this year to share the Carlsberg genetics. Gerd has really struggled with this as he would love to keep her. She’s a classic Carlsberg daughter with all that thickness and muscle. The Carlsberg cows’ we have in our herd always milk fabulous and produce the top calves each year. They do no lack for muscle and also have good dispositions. This combination is truly one of our best! She’s bred to our homegrown heifer bull, Haiti, with a calving ease of 14.1. Haiti is a combination of easy calving on both sides of his pedigree as well as still lots of muscle and milk. We are excited to see how his calves turn out.

This year’s offering is our largest to date and we couldn’t be more excited. Our cow herd seems to be growing exponentially and it seems fitting to start to sell larger groups of females. This group of heifers is a great representation of our herd with heifers from each according calving programs. TERMS The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, e-transfer, or wire and are due at the time of sale, unless other arrangements have been made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Transcon reserves the right to charge interest at a rate of 2% per month on overdue accounts. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. BID No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No bybidding will be permitted.

SALES TAXES Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos, and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.

DISPUTES In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.

PURCHASER’S RISK Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

INSURANCE Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser at the time of sale and should be insured. Animals returning to the seller’s farm must be insured.

US BUYERS There is an additional charge (approximately $300.00 US dollars) that will be applied to each animal purchased. This covers documentation, vet inspections/testing required to export. This cost does not include transportation or brokerage which is the responsibility of the buyer.

In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price. EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.

HEALTH It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.

EMBRYO & SEMEN Full settlement must be made before release is done and shipping arrangements should be done within 30 days of the sale unless arrangements made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Shipping arrangements and costs are the expense of the purchaser once release has been given.

ACCIDENTS Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors, or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.

TRANSCON LIVESTOCK CORP. IS AGENT ONLY It is to be clearly understood that Transcon Livestock Corp. is only acting as a medium between buyer and seller and is not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does Transcon Livestock Corp. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties. Any legal action that may be taken, in exceptional cases, must be between buyer and seller.
