Concept 1
Idea: The idea behind concept 1 focused on bringing the drag scene together as a hole and using their instagram posts and some factime photoshoots to create an array of digital talent which highlighted several drag artists in the Scottish drag scene. This idea was really to showcase the talent in the scene and let the reader explore not only the information behind the scene but have a visual taste of the mixed array of artists involved.
Shoot: This concept did not have a professional shoot in person due to COVID-19. But very few of the images used were taken via facetime photoshoot and other images were taken from the artists instagrams or personal images via dm.
Models: All of the artists involved in this concept are: Ally Oops, Beeswaxx, Bruise , Saturn, Skinny Minnie, Stefani Diamandis, Kiko, Rujazzle, October Fist, Sleepy, Purina Alpha, Violet Grace, & Voss.

Additional comments: This shoot was extremly fun to do and working with Maya is always so fun. It was an amazing experience for her to transform into a bleach browed glamourous model and show some very amazing and dynamic poses. The shoot in my opinion was extremly successful and it was a joy to make come to life with such a simplistic idea into reality.
Concept 4 Financial Difficul Difficulti tiees surrounding Sc Scottish Dra Drag
Idea:
Shoot:
Models: Latex / Kyle McAuley - only model required.
location: This shoot was completed in the Creative Container Boxxhub in Glasgow City Centre. A visual photography studio which was rented out for the day and it gave creative freedom with the spacing and wide use of visuals in the room as well as a great way to get professional practice in this type of work environment.
additional publication inspiration: This shoot was done inspired by a movie cover and I have seen similar things done in “Gay Times”. I think Gay Times would be a very fun publication to recreate this concept as they really do go above and beyond with their shoot concepts. I think that although mine has been done in a contemporary minimal way they would use that and make it into something even bigger than it was.

additional publication inspiration: This shoot turned out extremly well and I was very overjoyed to see the outcome of images done. I feel the publication the shoot would be relavant too would be Wonderland. Wonderland is a very bold and fun loving magazine which explores so many various aspects of artists including personal history, showcasing artwork, bring into light political questions with their work and I think this shoot would be perfect example of a Wonderland feature.

Concept 5.5 DRAG (Shoo (Shoot 2) Me, MY MYSELF & DRA
Idea: As before focused on showing aspects of my drag persona I really could not do this without exploring all sides of “Latex”. And I would not have done so without showcasing this contemporary, grunge look with the bold statement made using the metallic works of the studio. I simply wanted to try give another shoot dedicated to my personal taste and vibe of my Drag persona.
Shoot: The shoot was the busiest shoot visually comparing it to the other concepts. It centred around metallic works and layout of the studio used as well as trying to capture some captivating fashion forward images. The shoot was like the other done myself via camera stand and burst images. I was able to capture some really inticing images which captured the theme.
Models: Latex / Kyle McAuley - only model required.
location: This shoot was completed in the Creative Container Boxxhub in Glasgow City Centre. A visual photography studio which was rented out for the day and it gave creative freedom with the spacing and wide use of visuals in the room as well as a great way to get professional practice in this type of work environment.
additional publication inspiration: This shoot turned out more than good in my opinion. With the visuals and the mood given with the imagery I would tie this concept to “Another” . Another is a minimalistic fashion forward publication which plays on bold imagery with minimal graphic work. The shoot concept captureed who Latex is, and I believe Another would be able to do the same thing through camera work and poses by looking at previous issues.
Additional comments: This shoot was one of the most challenging ones so far, the flooring on the space of the shoot specifically to model in with heels on, was rough to say the least. But it turned out well so I certainly cannot complain. The area photographed in was so handy and there was already areas for cameras to go to and it made things easier inathat sense to capture some crisp images. But it did still prove challenging.
Concept 6
POLITICAL POWER
Idea: This idea focuses on the political aspects behind drag and educates the reader on the many factors behind drag as well as feature Glasgows most political queen and bring them to spotlight through a very Scottish inspired shoot that contrasts and speaks through a lot of the messages behind and spread throughout the publication and imagery.
Shoot: This shoot was completely centred around the model and with the model being a “campy” performer it was a great dramatic method to contrast drag being a political movement. All images were taken by me and the model both were able to complete COVID-19 tests to make the shoot go ahead and also had to abide by government guidlines too.
Models: Lady Rampant / Christopher Clannachan - Only model used.
location: This shoot was completed in the Creative Container Boxxhub in Glasgow City Centre. A visual photography studio which was rented out for the day and it gave creative freedom with the spacing and wide use of visuals in the room as well as a great way to get professional practice in this type of work environment.
additional publication inspiration: The shoot was a very fun and campy concept having an exaggerated drag artist in such a contemporary role, this reminded me of shoots done in the publication ”POP”. POP is a very bright, bold and visually impactful publication, it brings a lot of awareness to readers on current political issues as well as showcase a dynamic set of fashion forward imagery. I think POP could completely capture the message behind the shoot and express this in a visually impactful way.
Additional comments: This shoot was such a fantastic one. It was amazing being able to work with Lady Rampant and see another drag artist take charge and really make themselves a main attraction in the feature. She was able to capture the essense of the shoot and it made for some impactful imagery.

Additional comments: The shoot turned out successful and again was focusing more so on the model being striking and interpretting the vibe of the theme present. Again creating a political statment using drag and pushing this forward into the mainstream. I enjoy working on this shoot and again got to show another side to Lady Rampants political self.
