NZ 9-Hole Masters, Men & Women – aged 40+ HOT NEW DATE Sunday 13 February – Tuesday 15 February 2022, $110 entry fee Otago Golf Club, established in 1871 is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2021 – the oldest club in the Southern Hemisphere. This is our venue for the 2021 Golf New Zealand 9-Hole Masters Tournament. Players will get the chance to walk in the footsteps of golfing legends, Gene Sarazen, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Peter Thomson, Bobby Locke, Marilyn Smith along with New Zealand’s Sir Bob Charles, Greg Turner, Frank Nobilo, Phil Tataurangi and Michael Campbell – to name but a few of the greats that have battled it out on the Balmacewen course. The 2021 tournament will be held in the 150th Anniversary Week, open to all affiliated golfers, men and women, aged 40+, both 9 hole or 18 hole members. This is in line with the Golf NZ modification, to allow players to have one handicap recorded within DotGolf. PaR nz Golfing Holidays is excited to be part of this anniversary. NZ Women’s Senior Championship, Women aged 50+ Sunday 13 February – Wednesday 16 February 2022, $180 entry fee Continuing the celebrations with the Otago Club, also known as the Balmacewen Course – we welcome ladies to the 2022 New Zealand Women’s Senior Championship. We are delighted to be hosting the tournament at this prestigious championship course. We also hope that 2022 will see the return of our Australian friends who we have missed! This will be the 74th year of the NZ Women’s Senior Championship and the programme includes a qualifying round, competing for three trophies, before three rounds of match play in eight divisions. Winners after three rounds will play on in the finals, in all divisions including flights and plates. The top division competes in “off- the-stick” match play: all other divisions compete in handicap match play. The field is limited to the first 128 paid entries received. The 2022 Bay of Plenty 5 Course Classic Featuring Mt Maunganui, Omanu, Omokoroa, Tauranga and Te Puke January 17 – 21, 2022 – mark this date now in your diaries! Welcome to one of New Zealand’s longest running and largest multi-course golf tournaments. Established in 1995, the 2022 Bay of Plenty 5 Course Classic will celebrate its 27th anniversary. This tournament, creates a massive number of returning players because of the camaraderie enjoyed and lifelong friendships that evolve. It is also a hugely popular format attracting new golfers to the area to enjoy a ‘feast of golf! The tournament programme is set over 5 days playing 5 championship courses – set in the The Bay of Plenty which is the perfect summer holiday destination not only for the golf but beaches, local shopping, restaurants, cafes and fun tourist adventures. The competition format is stableford over 5 rounds. Daily prizes are awarded along with overall prizes by multiple handicap divisions. Under the World Handicap System, handicaps will change daily.
