In 2023 we are delighted to be presenting our two annual Fiji golf tournaments – the Denarau girls golf week and Villa Challenge for teams.
A great reason for a ‘girls golf getaway’ is our Sheraton Fiji Denarau Women’s Golf Classic to be hosted Saturday 5th –Saturday 12th August 2023. This will be the 19th staging of the tournament which started in 2004.
Stay on for the second week, and join up with your husband, partner or other playing mates – playing in the ‘Best Teams Event in the Pacific’! The Sheraton Fiji Villa Teams Challenge will be hosted from Saturday 12th – Saturday 19th August. This will be the 23rd staging of the tournament which started in 2000
Both tournaments are a week of fun but competitive golf, playing four rounds in carts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Wednesday is a rest day where you can relax by the pool or enjoy playing more golf on the Natadola Course.
We have a great social programme packed with activities including welcome, mid-way and farewell parties with drinks and
lunch at the golf clubhouse every day. All staying by the beach for seven nights in 5-star luxury in your choice of the newly renovated Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort or Sheraton Villas. The Sheraton has spent hundreds of millions transforming their Denarau Island property – the result is stunning, it has a fresh, modern Pacific feel that reflects their new brand vision as “The World’s Gathering Place.”
And as in the past, each tournament has a ‘theme’ which will be announced in March 2023.

The Golf
The Denarau Women’s Golf Classic is a women’s pairs tournament, open to all ages and with a maximum course handicap of 36. The three official rounds of the Denarau Women’s Golf Classic will be hosted on the Denarau Golf Course playing Foursomes, 4BBB and Combined Stableford formats. The opening day is a fun teams Ambrose Format. Daily fun prizes are awarded as well for the overall winners. FIJI ME
The Villa Challenge is a 4-person team competition. You can make your team up with any combination of men or women. If you don’t have a team, we can certainly find you a team. Maximum course starting handicaps apply, 28 for men and 36 for women. The competition is played over four rounds where each player’s daily score contributes to the overall team score. Points are scored under the PaR nz Points System™. We have a great prize table where team winners are awarded trophies and prizes at the farewell dinner. FIJI ME

Announced earlier in 2022, The Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort re-opened after more than two years of renovation works, costing $73 million. Now with over 450 staff, both old and new workers are back looking after guests as they know best!
