2021 Golf New Zealand 9-Hole Masters Tournament Monday 15 – Wednesday 17 November 2021 Otago Golf Club, Dunedin Otago Golf Club, established in 1871 is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2021 – the oldest club in the Southern Hemisphere. This is our venue for the 2021 Golf New Zealand 9-Hole Masters Tournament. Players will get the chance to walk in the footsteps of Gene Sarazen, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Peter Thomson, Bobby Locke, along with New Zealand’s Sir Bob Charles, Greg Turner, Frank Nobilo, Phil Tataurangi, Marilyn Smith and Michael Campbell – to name but a few of the greats that have battled it out on the Balmacewen course. The 2021 tournament will be held in the 150th Anniversary Week, open to all affiliated golfers, men and women, ages 40+, both 9 hole or 18 hole members. PaR nz Golfing Holidays is excited to be part of this challenging course’s anniversary – this is your chance to play one of the top courses in the South Island, a picturesque 18-hole layout with a sloping terrain, known for its quality fairways and superb greens. The 27-hole Tournament will be played over 3 days, with 9-holes stableford competition scheduled, morning rounds on: • Monday 15 November • Tuesday 16 November • Wednesday 17 November

2022 Golf New Zealand Men’s & Women’s Mid-Amateur Friday 14 – Sunday 16 January, 2022 Clearwater Resort, Christchurch PaR nz Golfing Holidays on behalf of Golf New Zealand, are delighted to announce that the championship course of Clearwater will host the 2022 New Zealand Men’s and Women’s Mid-Amateur. This is a premium course of some note. Over recent years The Clearwater Golf Club hosted the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open from 2013 to 2016, and was a host venue for both the New Zealand Open and New Zealand PGA Championship. Players such as Jason Dufner, Bubba Watson, Jason Day, Jimmy Walker have played Clearwater in the past, and most recently Lydia Ko, who in February 2015 posted a course and career record low score of 61 whilst ranked as the World Number 1 female player. Course designers are none other than Sir Bob Charles, a Clearwater Resort resident, in partnership with John Darby. The Clearwater Course is a par-72 championship course where players aged 30 plus, will be able to battle it out over 3 rounds, played between 14 – 16 January 2022, a 54-hole stroke-play championship. Two trophies, the Neil Woodbury MidAmateur Cup and the New Zealand Women’s Masters Shield, donated by the Women’s Trust Fund, will be awarded to the overall lowest gross winner, man and woman, over 54 holes. Additional Net and Stableford prizes by division and age will be awarded, the final split advised when entries close and the field is full.

2021 Golf New Zealand Women’s Senior Handicap Foursomes Monday 22 – Thursday 25 November 2021 Geraldine Golf Club, South Canterbury One of the most popular foursomes events for senior women, the 2021 Golf New Zealand Women’s Senior Foursomes will be hosted by Geraldine in South Canterbury. Situated at the foot of the Southern Alps, Geraldine is the gateway to the lakes of the Central MacKenzie Basin and the beginning of the Starlight Highway to Tekapo’s world renowned UNESCO Aoraki MacKenzie International Dark Sky Reserve. Geraldine is the home of Barker’s of Geraldine who will be our host for the welcome function in their new purpose-built tasting shop. Barker’s is still on a corner of the original family farm, 8km from the South Canterbury town of Geraldine. The farm sits in the lee of the Four Peaks mountain range, beside the Te Moana River and surrounded by rolling pastures. The farm is now a thriving business, making world-class jams, chutneys, syrups and condiments. Barker’s supports the local community, employing around 200 local people, and supports local growers whenever possible. The format includes three days of handicap foursomes match play after 18 holes qualifying net. After qualifying, competitors are put into flights (of 16 pairs per division) which are seeded based on their net score. The first 64 pairs / paid entries will be accepted. Women golfers aged 50 and above can enter. Players must have a Golf NZ Handicap (or an approved handicap from an approved country) index of 40.4 or better.
