Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay 4-Course Golf Classic
Kia ora Golfers and welcome to the 2025 Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay 4-Course Classic.
Tournament dates: Sunday 2 November - Friday 7 November 2025
In 2025 we celebrate our 10 year anniversary of the Hawke’s Bay 4-Course Golf Classic along with our award winning wine partner and naming sponsor, Trinity Hill, who has been supporting the tournament every year.
The event has been a huge success, regularly selling out due to the popularity of visiting the fabulous Hawke’s Bay region which is one of New Zealand’s premier and oldest wine growing regions.
Hawke’s Bay’s wineries are famous for their reds – Merlot and Syrah, and their whites – Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Napier is also uniquely known as New Zealand’s Art Deco Capital with its own Festival in February each year.
In summary the package includes Tournament entry playing four great courses over five days, including Cape Kidnappers, Napier, Maraenui and Hastings, special 10th anniversary player gift, Titleist PRO V1 2’s daily competition, wine tasting at the Trinity Hill Winery with Registration on Sunday 2nd November, wine tasting lunches and dinners… the list goes on.

The Golf Courses
Cape Kidnappers
Cape Kidnappers is the ‘bucket list’ in our course line-up for our Hawke’s Bay tournament. Currently ranked #55 in the World Top 100 World Courses (2023/24). Since opening in 2004 Cape Kidnappers continues to receive national and international accolades for the course presentation and 5-star accommodation.
The course was designed by American architect, Tom Doak who currently has 6 world ranked courses to his name and an impressive portfolio of 50 designs around the world. It is one of New Zealand’s most photographed courses with its spectacular ridge and ravine routing, showcasing breathtaking ocean and farmland views along New Zealand’s most southeasterly extremity.
Many holes bordering on threatening cliffs 500 ft. above the sea. The signature hole is the par 5 15th, named Pirates Plank. This hole plays 800 ft. above the ocean with perilous drops on both sides. Go long over the green and your ball will sail for 10 seconds before splashing into the Pacific Ocean.
Cape Kidnappers is the sister course of the world top 100 ranked Kauri Cliffs which features in the course line-up our Copthorne Bay of Islands 4-Course Classic held annually in May.
Maranui
Maranui Golf Club
Maraenui Golf Club lies on the coast road between the two cities of Napier and Hastings. In addition to a quality 18-hole layout, the club also manages an adjacent 9-hole challenge for beginners and social players.
Boasting itself as one of the ‘friendliest’ clubs, Maraenui has a tight tree-lined challenge that demands accuracy, especially off the tee.
Like Hastings and Napier, Maraenui is also an easy walking course with sea breezes often coming into play.
Cape Kidnappers
Hastings Golf Club
Hastings (Ranked #20 in NZ in 2023) is one of New Zealand’s best-known club courses, host of many amateur and professional events over the years won by Sir Bob Charles and Frank Nobilo. In 2025 it will host the NZ PGA Championship.
Hastings Golf Club is a historic club established in 1898, with the present course being built on the Bridge Pa location in 1912. Hastings today, is an outstanding course, known for its quality of greens and beautiful grassed fairways. Hastings is also proudly the home of ‘The Emperor’ Stuart Jones, arguably New Zealand’s best amateur player who won a staggering seven national amateur championships.
Hastings
Napier Golf Club
This proud member club was completely destroyed in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle which severely affected much of the Hawke’s Bay region. Now, three years on, and with the perseverance and dogged determination of the greens staff headed by one of the country’s few female green keepers, Ingrid Van Steenbergen, members and local volunteers, the course has risen from the silt, debris and deluge to open their full 18 holes for play.
Napier Golf Club has a proud history, hosting many amateur events in addition to being part of our 4-course Classic. One of the country’s oldest courses, its origins date back to 1898 at the current site of Waiohiki, which has the course laid out over three distinct areas of land that crisscross over the adjacent roadways. Distinctive woodcarvings and ancient Māori gravesites give this course a unique flavour. We are delighted that Napier Golf Club is firmly back in the Hawke’s Bay line-up!
