2023 New Zealand Mixed
Welcome!
The 2023 New Zealand Amateur Mixed Foursomes Championship will venture to Wellington to the historic Boulcott’s Farm Heritage Golf Club. The event will be managed by PaR nz Golfing Holidays under the auspices of Golf New Zealand.
The tournament, held over the Labour October Long Weekend, will be hosted by the Boulcott’s Farm Heritage Golf Club which is the result of the merger of two clubs in 2010, the former Hutt Golf Club and Boulcott Golf Club.
Both clubs had a long and important historical contribution in their local communities having been established in 1892 and 1937 respectively. During 2008 and 2009, the Greater Wellington Regional Council confirmed its intentions to upgrade the stop banks and both Clubs were approached for their input. Various alternative alignments were considered and once both Clubs agreed to the current alignment, the merger was pursued.
With the construction of the stop bank, the GWRC undertook to reinstate the golf holes affected. As part of the agreement, 12 of the 18 holes of the new layout were constructed together with a 6-hole short course. The intent of the short course was
to provide access to golf to the disabled and provide a facility where golfers could play a quick game. The construction with paved paths reflects that intent.
The new course is close to 6,300 metres. It has been built to Championship standard and is maintained to that level.
