ROCK OWENS CHOSE TO SHOWCASE MODELS ON THE RUNWAY WITH ALLOVER METALLIC FACES. THIS DE-GENDERIZED THE MODELS, AND FORCED THE VIEWER TO THINK OF THE MODEL AS NOT A FEMALE OR MALE, BUT RATHER A SINGULAR BEING INSTEAD. SKIRTS WERE POPULAR- FOR MEN AND WOMEN, AS WERE SHOES THAT SKEWED MORE MANLY THAN FEMININE- EVEN A PAIR OF CALF-HIGH GLADIATOR BOOTS THAT WERE WORN BY BOTH GENDERS ON THE RUNWAY.
