ACT ONE We start out in blackness. Then, a mural begins fading in, bit by bit. We start with Trinitos's coat of arms in the center. NARRATOR Trinitos, the land of three realms. Another part of the mural fades on the same level as the coat of arms- a landscape of trees, mountains, and homes. NARRATOR (CONT'D) Though, in the beginning, there was only the Homelands, the earthly realm. On one side of the Homelands portion, we get a saintly-looking spirit holding out a hand in offering. On the other side, a demonic beast reaching out menacingly. NARRATOR (CONT'D) On this realm, mankind lived in harmony with spiritkind, and in fear of monsterkind. Above the Homelands portion of the mural, images of heaven and spirits fade in. NARRATOR (CONT'D) Spirits eventually created the heavenly realm known as "the Beyond" and largely kept to it, just out of the reach of humanity. Below the Homelands, the sinister, hellish realm of the Abyss appears. NARRATOR (CONT'D) Human and monster struggled for dominion over the Homelands. Monsters tunneled downwards, creating the dark realm known as "the Abyss." Monsters are shown reaching up towards the Homelands from the Abyss. NARRATOR (CONT'D) Monsters continued to creep up from the Abyss, hoping to reclaim it. A monster hunter is drawn on either side of Trinitos's coat of arms.
2. NARRATOR (CONT'D) In response, Trinitos employed brave souls to combat these sinister effortsWe close on the coat of arms and the monster hunters. NARRATOR (CONT'D) -monster hunters. EXT. HARBOR TOWN - EVENING A harbor town with winding alleyways, old buildings, and a stunning view of the ocean's horizon. A dark, stormy haze drifts above, the sun blocked by gray overcast. The coat of arms in the shot has been replaced by a GIANT SQUID MONSTER looming by the harbor, wrecking things. In the foreground, two people look at the monster, taking similar positions as the monster hunters from the mural. One of these people is our protagonist- EILEEN CALDIN (20's, tomboyish and rugged heroine; her outfit includes a necklace with monster teeth). The other is LUKAS SUNFLAME (20's, the nice boy next door all grown up). Both are starting at the monster, already planning out their strategies. EILEEN So what're you thinking? LUKAS Mercy's Diner. Eileen gives him a bemused look.
Lukas shrugs.
LUKAS (CONT'D) It's seafood bake night there. wanna go someplace else?
Did'ja
Eileen leans over to Lukas, both smiling knowing smiles. EILEEN Let's see if you want seafood after fighting this thing. Three hunters whiz past them- CHARLES THE LOYAL (30's, elegant fop with a refined taste in weaponry), HERMAN THE WISE (50's, grizzled sea salt who can stare down a bear), and MARY THE GRIM (20's, gothic soul with an enigmatic air about her). CHARLES Let's go, you two! This thing won't stop itself! Eileen and Lukas kiss in one moment, then rush into battle the next.
3. In the fight, the squid monster only gives the hunters a minor amount of trouble. Even when on opposite sides of the battlefield, Eileen and Lukas find ways to work together. In the end, the monster is defeated, Eileen and Lukas dealing the finishing blow. Any civilian in the area comes out of hiding and begins cheering for the monster hunters. Eileen and Lukas slip away, heading for the nearest alleyway. Meanwhile, Charles is waving at the crowd, basking in praise. Herman is looking at the monster, inspecting its features. Mary the Grim walks up to him. MARY Something wrong, Herman? HERMAN Nothin' too alarmin', Mary m'girl. Jus' strange is all. MARY What is? HERMAN This sorta beast rarely comes t' shore, 'specially this time've year. Charles glances at Herman. CHARLES Maybe you made a mistake, old boy. Herman shoots Charles a rough glare. HERMAN I know m' sea beasts, Charles. Charles notices Eileen and Lukas are gone. CHARLES Where's the lovebirds? MARY Probably looking for Ambassador Dust. CHARLES Moira's here? HERMAN Her an' a few other diplomats she was meetin'. She was th' one who called those two. Herman shrugs, moving towards the alleyway.
4. HERMAN (CONT'D) S'ppose we should be lookin' for 'em too. Charles goes back to waving. CHARLES I'll help control the crowd. Mary follows Herman, her tone sarcastic and unamused. Yeah, sure.
MARY You do that.
EXT. HARBOR ALLEYWAYS - EVENING A maze of alleyways. Eileen and Lukas are walking down it, keeping an eye out for any clues to where Moira is. LUKAS If memory serves, the meeting place was down here. EILEEN Any idea where specifically? Lukas thinks a bit, sheepish look crawling on his face. LUKAS Ah, it was down this one alley... Eileen SCOFFS, smiling a wry smile that Lukas shares. LUKAS (CONT'D) Hey, all these alleys look alike. Eileen looks around, taking in the grungier sights. EILEEN Why meet in someplace like this? Lukas shrugs. LUKAS Iresidine diplomats. They wanted to talk about their civil war and demanded someplace more hidden. EILEEN That poor country's always fighting dark lords and stuff there. Why stop and actually call it a "civil war?"
5. As they speak, A CLOAKED PERSON (features unseen) is seen watching them from behind a stack of barrels down an adjoining alleyway. LUKAS 'Cause they think they can actually get rid of their dark lords, from what I've heard. They're asking for Trinitos's help. Eileen rubs her eyes. EILEEN I really hope they're not asking us to go over and fight. Lukas doesn't like that idea either. LUKAS I doubt it will come toThe cloaked person darts out of view, Lukas noticing the movement and looking just in time to see nothing. Eileen looks at the alleyways in puzzlement. EILEEN Wanna split up? LUKAS You sure? Eileen flashes a cocky grin. EILEEN Afraid I'll find her first? Lukas smiles, rubbing his hands together. LUKAS Fine. The sooner we get out've here, the sooner we can get seafood bake. The two hunters start heading down their respective alleyways, Lukas going down the one he saw movement in. EILEEN Really? You can still stomach seafood after what we just fought? LUKAS Only made me hungrier.
6. EXT. HARBOR ALLEYWAYS, EILEEN'S PATH - EVENING Eileen walks down the empty alleyway, eyes scanning the environment. Eventually, she passes by some stairs leading downwards... Something at the top of the stairs glitters, catching her eye. She goes over and finds a pin in the shape of Trinitos's coat of arms. EILEEN (To self) Official government pin. Eileen looks down the stairs. At the bottom is the entrance to a downstairs apartment. The shutters of its one window is closed tight. EILEEN (CONT'D) (To self) You take shelter down here, Moira? EXT. HARBOR ALLEYWAYS, LUKAS'S PATH - EVENING Lukas continues down the pathway, looking for signs of movement. No such luck... At one point, he sees a building with Trinitos flags and lights in the window. He quickens his pace towards the building. LUKAS Hold on, Moira. Suddenly, something falls over a ways behind him. Lukas skids to a stop and spins around, on the defensive. A cat is by him, fish bone in its mouth. Lukas sighs in relief, crouching down as the cat approaches him. LUKAS (CONT'D) Sorry, kitty. The cat immediately rubs up against him. As he speaks and pets the cat, the cloaked person is seen watching him from a window behind him. LUKAS (CONT'D) Just scaring myself, I guess. EXT. HARBOR ALLEYWAYS, EILEEN'S PATH - EVENING Eileen walks down the stairs and to the door. She knocks, only to discover it's open. Eileen peeks in through the cracked door and, once satisfied, slinks inside.
7. INT. DOWNSTAIRS HOVEL, FRONT ROOM - EVENING A very simple sitting room/kitchen. Barest living arrangements. Hardly looks touched. On the far wall is a shut curtain... Eileen looks around, cautiously making her way through the room. Hello? No answer.
EILEEN Is anyone here?
Eileen approaches the curtain. Moira?
EILEEN (CONT'D) It's Eileen.
Eileen opens the curtain a bit and peers inside. EXT. HARBOR ALLEYWAYS, LUKAS'S PATH - EVENING Lukas jogs to the official building, the cat pattering behind him. Lukas gets to the door, knocking on it. The cat goes up to his legs and starts rubbing affectionately against them. He looks down with a smile. LUKAS Great, just what I needed. Another admirer. Least you won't be writing me love letters. A voice sounds from the other side, half-panicked. DIPLOMAT (O.S.) Who's there? LUKAS One of Ambassador Dust's knights. The door opens, a DIPLOMAT (different style of outfit than the people of Trinitos; slightly more sci-fi) answering and looking over Lukas with a skeptical eye. DIPLOMAT You look more like a monster hunter to me. A familiar voice is heard behind him. Lukas?
MOIRA (O.S.) Eileen?
The diplomat steps aside, revealing MOIRA (20's, stately and formal, even in the midst of conflict). Lukas bows, smiling coyly. Moira can't help but smile back.
8. LUKAS My lady. The diplomat turns to Moira. DIPLOMAT He's one of your so-called knights, Ambassador Dust? MOIRA Saved me enough times to qualify as one. Moira notices that Eileen's not there. MOIRA (CONT'D) Where's Eileen? INT. DOWNSTAIRS HOVEL, BEDROOM - EVENING Like the room before, basic furniture and doesn't look touched. A full-length mirror hangs on a far wall. Eileen looks around the room a bit. away...
She's about the walk
Then she hears A MOAN OF PAIN echo from within the room; seemingly past another door in the bedroom. Alarmed, Eileen runs into the room. Hello?!
EILEEN Is anyone...?!
Eileen listens for any sign of life. a few moments...
Everything's quiet for
ANOTHER MOAN echoes, again from seemingly another room. Eileen pinpoints the direction: the mirror. She approaches it, confused. When she's close to it, a CLATTER is heard beyond the looking glass. Eileen reaches for the mirrorShe feels hinges on one side. This is actually a door. She opens it, and is taken aback by what's on the other side. Taking a few moments to summon her courage, Eileen steps in... INT. DOWNSTAIRS HOVEL, HIDDEN LAB - EVENING A ghastly room of forbidden science. To one side, a chemistry set. To the other, empty animal cages and a tub of black liquid. On the far wall, chalk boards littered with a madman's notes of subjects like "draining essence" and "crossing over." And in the center of the room, a slab with a body covered with a sheet.
9. Eileen cautiously makes her way through the room, becoming disturbed by the sights. She gives the chemistry set a glance, nothing about it being of much note. Some bottles of liquid have labels with symbols drawn on them. She goes to the chalkboards, not being able to make heads or tales of what's written on it. She gets to the cages, noting the blood crusted on the inside. She glances at the tub, crinkling her expression at its mystery... Then she turns to the sheet. She carefully approaches it. She takes her weapon slowly into one hand and slowly grabs the sheet with the other. Her back is to the tub. She lifts the sheet just enough to peek under it... Unbeknownst to Eileen, the dome of a black, oily head raises from the tub. What's underneath the sheet puzzles Eileen, though we don't see it yet. EILEEN What in the name of...? After a moment, the sound of A DEEP SIGH behind her triggers every synapse in Eileen's mind. She turns around, weapon ready. Behind her is a ghastly SHADOW MONSTER. Eileen immediately strikes it, but her weapon goes through the monster like a knife through water. The following fight is brutal. Nothing Eileen can do against the monster can hurt it. The only time the monster is hurt is when a bottle with a specific symbol from the chemistry set spills on the monster, it acting like acid. Eileen's tossed around and ultimately attempts to flee. EXT. HARBOR ALLEYWAYS, EILEEN'S PATH - EVENING Lukas and Moira are retracing Eileen's steps, the cat still following Lukas. They're in sight's distance from the hovel Eileen's in. LUKAS I'm sure she went this way. MOIRA Seafood bake does sound g-
10. The door to the hovel bursts open, Eileen rushing out with the monster at her heels. The cat behind Lukas hisses at the monster, Lukas himself snapping into battle mode as he runs to aid Eileen. LUKAS Eileen! Eileen's street level when the monster climbs/glides along the building's side, moving itself in front of Eileen. With a single swing, the monster sends Eileen painfully skidding across the pavement, further away from Lukas. The monster rushes for Eileen, Lukas fast approaching it. LUKAS (CONT'D) Get away from her! Lukas swings his weapon, it having no more effect than Eileen's attacks. As if an afterthought, the monster swats Lukas away, sending him back towards Moira. Suddenly, the monster's hand starts dripping and smoking. The monster takes briefest of notes to this, then turns back to Eileen, who is stiffly and painfully trying to get back onto her feet. Around this time, Herman and Mary rush onto the scene. HERMAN What's all th' commotion?! Herman and Mary are alarmed at what they see. MARY Holy maiden of... The monster hunters (Eileen included) try to fight the shadow monster, but their attacks are no good and are swatted away with ease. The monster focuses most of its violent intent on Eileen. As the fight continues, the monster's dripping graduates to full-blown melting, the smoke emanating from its body increasing. What's more, red-violet electricity begins crackling at its feet. In the end, a weakened Eileen is in the shadow monster's smoking, melting grasp. The monster begins scrunching into itself, very much in pain... The monster lets out AN INHUMAN CRY OF PAIN. White-blue fire erupts on its back. The monster hunters and Moira look on in horror and confusion. HERMAN What in the blazes...?
11. The fire begins spreading to the rest of the monster's body, including the arm that's holding Eileen. Eileen herself is freaking out at this. EILEEN S-Someone... Charles rushes onto the scene, immediately shocked at what he sees. CHARLES What the hell is going on?! Lukas, Mary, and Herman makes one last rush for the monster... The energy at the monster's feet flashes, sending the monster hunters flying back. There's now violet-indigo vortex beneath it, the monster slowly being pulled into it, Eileen in tow. Mary looks at the portal in horror. MARY My god. That's the Abyss's energy. As the flames spread closer to the arm that's holding her, Eileen tries to strike the monster. No effect. The flames scorch her hand, badly. The force of the portal becomes stronger, jerking the monster and Eileen inside it faster. The white-blue flames are a breath away from Eileen's person. Lukas runs to Eileen, hand out and face white with panic and desperation. LUKAS Eileen! Time slows to an agonizing, bitter crawl. Eileen's wide eyes don't leave Lukas; she wants him to be the last thing she sees. Tears slip out. She knows she's dead. EILEEN Lukas... A few last, lingering moments... Back to normal speed. Eileen is engulfed in flames and pulled into the vortex in a single, horrifying second. There's a flash, Eileen's CRYING OUT IN AGONY. Black.
Eileen's cry echoes before dying off into nothingness.
12. INT. INFIRMARY - DAY Eileen's first person perspective. She awakens in a nice, soft bed in a nice, welcoming infirmary. The moment her eyes open, everything is fuzzy, Eileen herself GROANING QUIETLY as she wakes up. With a few blinks, everything gradually comes into focus. Eileen looks around at her surroundings, then at her bandaged and bed-ridden self. EILEEN Oh... Eileen lets herself lie back with a RELIEVED SIGH. After a moment, Eileen clasps her hands in prayer and closes her eyes... EILEEN (CONT'D) (To self) Thank you heavenly makers for letting me see through thatThe door is heard opening. Eileen's eyes snap open as she looks over and sees a worried/relieved Lukas at the door. Eileen quickly closes her eyes and faces her clasped hands. EILEEN (CONT'D) In your name, amen. Eileen turns back to Lukas. EILEEN (CONT'D) Lukas! Lukas strides over towards Eileen. EILEEN (CONT'D) Geez, I don't know how ILukas speaks, but not in his voice... LUKAS (Damien's voice) There you are. Eileen pauses, very confused. Lukas?
EILEEN What happened to your voice?
Suddenly, ice begins to encase Eileen, sending her into a panic.
13. EILEEN (CONT'D) Lukas! "Lukas" only stands in his place, emotionless. Eileen becomes more terrified as the ice is nearing it full encasement of her. EILEEN (CONT'D) Lukas, help me! Help-! The ice freezes across Eileen's face, silencing her and reducing "Lukas" to a silhouette. After a few tense moment, the silhouette leans forward and wipes away the fog on the ice... This silhouette isn't Lukas, it's DAMIEN (looks 20's, drips charisma and seems a touch otherworldly), who is smiling semi-wryly. DAMIEN Hello there, monster hunter. I've been looking everywhere for you. Eileen tries to respond, but only makes MUFFLED NOISES. Damien snaps his finger in realization. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Hold on a second. Damien places a hand on the ice. It begins glowing yelloworange. The warm light begins to spread throughout the ice untilINT. SNOWLANDS, ICE CAVE - NIGHT A remote cave with ice crystals jutting out from the frozen floor and ceilings. At the end of the cave was a huge coffinlike ice mass containing a certain someone... The ice around Eileen melts enough to allow her to sit up abruptly, BREATHING HEAVILY AND FRANTICALLY. The steam from the ice silhouettes her bald, naked, and severely burned form throughout the scene. Eileen looks around the area, coming down from her adrenaline rush, but becoming panicked in the face of the reality she's in. Eileen's movements are stiff and voice raspy. EILEEN What happened? Where...? Damien SIGHS.
14. DAMIEN Where to begin?
Oh dear.
Eileen freezes as memories return. EILEEN That monster... Eileen presses her palms into her eyes. EILEEN (CONT'D) It dragged me into this... DAMIEN Portal. Eileen looks to Damien.
Damien shrugs.
DAMIEN (CONT'D) According to the rumors, a monster hunter was dragged through a portal and carried herself into one of the deepest, darkest cracks in this forsaken realm. EILEEN Realm? (Pause) The Homelands? Damien shakes his head. DAMIEN The Abyss. Those words make Eileen's blood turn as cold as her surroundings. EILEEN The Aby...? Damien nods slowly. DAMIEN Enemy territory, monster hunter. Eileen's still for a few moments, then slowly brings her shaking hands to a position of prayer. As she leans her head down, she rocks slightly and MUTTERS PRAYERS. Damien watches this for a few moments before raising an eyebrow and saying-
15. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Listen, if you're quite done with thatSuddenly, Eileen notices her hands, becoming horrified at the sight of them. EILEEN My... Eileen reaches her charred, semi-fleshless hands through the steam to show Damien, which startles/disgusts him a bit. EILEEN (CONT'D) What happened to me?! As Eileen WHIMPERS QUIETLY, Damien's tries to remain stoic. But those efforts fail as he SIGHS and adopts a friendly, calmly-assuring demeanor. DAMIEN You survived. Damien walks closer to Eileen and gently takes her hands. DAMIEN (CONT'D) You're the only one I've found who can say that. Damien closes his eyes. The orange-yellow light from before appears in his palms and enters Eileen's veins, startling her. New, paler skin blooms around the veins, covering her hands. Eileen slowly takes her hands from Damien's and looks at them. Damien shows a little pride as Eileen marvels at this little miracle. DAMIEN (CONT'D) I can do more. Eileen looks over to Damien... EXT. SNOWLANDS, ICE CAVE - NIGHT Outside the cave. A vast winter wasteland spans before it as a blizzard howls. Damien walks out, rubbing his hands from the cold and letting out a shivering breath that turns into fog upon hitting the cold air. He addresses Eileen, who is still inside the cave. DAMIEN (To Eileen) Just remember our deal.
16. Eileen starts emerging from the cave, her gait stiff from being immobile as long as she had been. EILEEN You're sure you can guide me out of this hellhole? Damien makes his way back into the cave and towards Eileen. DAMIEN You mean "guide the both of us out of this hellhole," I assume. Damien offers his hand. DAMIEN (CONT'D) And yes, I can. Eileen hesitates to take his hand. EILEEN I've heard stories about monsters being able to disguise themselves as humans. DAMIEN If I was a monster, would I seek out a monster hunter? Eileen hesitates for a few more moments...then slowly takes his hand. Damien helps Eileen out of the cave... We see her new form for the first time. Her new skin's paler, and her clothes are worn/stitched together/slightly more gothic. Eileen looks out to the expanse of the new world in front of her... EXT. SNOWLANDS, ICE VALLEY - NIGHT Valley between to tall mountains. Eileen is following Damien, her body still stiff. glances behind his shoulder. DAMIEN You doing okay, monster hunter? EILEEN Let's just keep going. Damien stops, allowing Eileen to catch up.
Damien
17. DAMIEN You seem a little stiff. Now up to Damien, Eileen shoots him a mixed look of embarrassment and irritation. EILEEN If we keep moving, I'll loosen up. Damien, mostly annoyed/a bit sympathetic, walks over to Eileen's side. DAMIEN Or you'll faint. Eileen lurches away from Damien, almost falling over and struggling to grasp her last bits of pride. EILEEN I'm apparently strong enough to survive having my skin burned off and being frozen. Damien leers at Eileen's defiance, the hint of a grim look on his face. DAMIEN Yet I hate to imagine you getting in a proper fight. Offended, Eileen spins around in near-anger, almost losing her footing for a second, and briskly continues forward. EILEEN Well you've never seen me in a fight, have you? Damien shrugs, putting on the diplomatic charm as he walks up beside her. DAMIEN You're right. Maybe you're good. Defending her reputation, Eileen firms her tone. EILEEN I am. Damien becomes a bit pushy for information with his words, something Eileen notices and doesn't quite like. DAMIEN It's not like you've talked about yourself at all. I don't even know your name.
18. Eileen's silent. Damien waits a bit for an introduction that doesn't come. After waiting, he puts on his friendliest smile and offers Eileen his hand. Both stop walking. DAMIEN (CONT'D) I'm Damien. Eileen doesn't take his hand, instead gesturing forward. EILEEN Okay, well, would you mind continuing to lead the way, Damien? Damien takes Eileen's lack of manners with wry bewilderment. DAMIEN My god, did manners just die up there or what? All I want is your name. Eileen starts moving forward. EILEEN And all I wantEileen's leg gives out, causing her to stumble a bit. Damien rolls his eyes as he walks over to her. DAMIEN Is for me to keep going? Eileen looks Damien in the eye, her glare all business. They stop walking again. EILEEN Is to know why you ended up down here in the first place. That's a touchy subject for Damien, but he only allows a hint of that to show. DAMIEN Why ever would you want to know that? EILEEN Because a normal person being down here is suspicious. Damien gestures to Eileen's hands, trying to ease tensions with a friendly, persuasive air. DAMIEN Someone who restores your skin is normal? Trustworthy, of course. Helpful, naturally. Good-hearted, goes without saying.
19. EILEEN So then why not tell me why you're down here? Damien shrugs and smiles. DAMIEN Because since I'm trustworthy, you have no reason to not trust me. Eileen GROANS, rolling her eyes before rubbing them. EILEEN This is a dream. I'm in the infirmary right now. Everyone's waiting for me to wake up. DAMIEN And what will they call you when you do? Eileen looks at Damien, not having any of his nonsense. Damien is also quite tired of this argument. DAMIEN (CONT'D) I just want to know your name. What's the harm in that? If we're going to be traveling together, I want toEileen.
EILEEN Okay? My name's Eileen.
Damien smiles. There.
DAMIEN Was that so hard?
Damien starts leading the way, all friendly. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Well, let's keep on going then, Eileen. With an irritated SIGH, Eileen follows him. EXT. SNOWLANDS, CLIFF SIDE - NIGHT A wall of rock that reaches towards the heavens. The area opens out to a massive field, its horizon obscured by snowy wind. One feature of the area is what appears to be an inconspicuous pile of rocks built up against the cliff side. Damien is guiding Eileen towards the rock pile.
20. DAMIEN Just through here. Damien brings Eileen up to the rock pile, revealing a hidden door in one of its sides. Eileen looks confused. Damien opens up the door and goes inside, Eileen slowly following suit... INT. SNOWLANDS, DAMIEN'S HIDEOUT - NIGHT A pleasant little home made from things found in the Snowlands; fur blankets, decorative masks, a rusted metal stove, and so on. Features include a sitting area and kitchen annex. Damien walks in, immediately adding wood to his stove. Eileen, however, is standing at the entrance, expression agape in a bad sort of surprise. Damien turns to his guest, shrugging. DAMIEN What? I think I decorated this place quite nicely, considering what I had to work with. Damien turns back to the fire. DAMIEN (CONT'D) You can shut the door, you know. EILEEN What's this? Damien walks over and shuts the door behind Eileen. DAMIEN My summer home. I have one in every area of the Abyss. Damien goes over to the kitchen area. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Well, the areas I've been able to cross through. Do you want hot cocoa, tea, or-? Eileen's having none of Damien's crap. EILEEN I want to get out of this place, like you said we would. Damien, suppressing his irritation with A QUIET SIGH and tight smile.
21. DAMIEN Tea it is, then. As Eileen continues to vent, Damien fills a worn kettle with water and sets it on the stove. EILEEN I'm serious, Damien! We don't have time to sit around and drink...! Frustration kills Eileen's words. the kettle. Tea.
Instead, she gestures to
DAMIEN I chose tea.
Eileen spins around and grabs the door knob. voice/expression becomes firm.
Damien's
DAMIEN (CONT'D) Sit down, Eileen. Just for a bit. I know you want to get back to the surface, but I used the last of my power restoring your skin. Eileen, her demeanor dripping sardonicism, turns to Damien and gestures to her clothes. EILEEN Yeah, like what you did with my outfit, by the way. Damien walks over to Eileen. DAMIEN All the better to intimidate your enemies. Damien looks at Eileen's monster tooth necklace. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Not that you didn't arrive with quite a few interesting accessories. Eileen opens the door, Damien shutting it. DAMIEN (CONT'D) I mean it, Eileen. There's some very nasty things out there. I'm not sure you'd survive at full health, let alone in your present condition. Eileen looks Damien in the eye, her glare assertive.
22. EILEEN I'm fine. Damien gestures to Eileen's hand, which is still wrapped around the door knob. DAMIEN You're shaking. Eileen moves her trembling hand to her side, balling it into a fist. DAMIEN (CONT'D) And don't even think about blaming the cold. The two share a tense silence, their stares dueling... EILEEN What can you do to stop me from walking out that door? As Damien speaks, his words chip away at her reserve. DAMIEN Nothing. That's the point of our deal. Why do you think I haven't left the Abyss myself? I'm very much at the mercy of everything horrible, vicious thing down here. I used the last of my power to fix you. Now I can't heal a paper cut, let alone your torn and mangled frame. Eileen is silent. She's trying to seem brave, but hints of worry betray that. Damien warms his tone, slowly lifting his hand over to Eileen's shoulder. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Just sit down a bit, and rest up. The hand makes contact. Eileen doesn't like this. She jerks back, on guard. Damien responds this in irritation and slight disappointment; he was hoping he'd trust her by now... Really?
DAMIEN (CONT'D) You still don't trust me?
EILEEN In my position, would you? DAMIEN Maybe back in the day.
23. In a swift motion, Eileen rushes out the door, alarming Damien. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Eileen, stop! EXT. SNOWLANDS, CLIFF SIDE - NIGHT Her frame's still a little sore and stiff, but Eileen musters deer's pace as she races through the snow. Damien runs after her, not as quick. DAMIEN This whole place is a maze! Even if you can fight your way through you'll...! Damien can't keep up with Eileen; she's too fast and he's too weak. He roughly skids to a halt, heavily breathing and watching Eileen disappear into the curtain of snow. DAMIEN (CONT'D) You'll get lost. EXT. SNOWLANDS, MOUNTAIN PASS - NIGHT Eileen is aggressively walking through the area, hands on her weapon and ready to fight anything that challenges her... After a short time of this, a new emotion softens Eileen's steely gaze: confusion. Suddenly, her environment is perplexing and intimidating. She continues forward, clearly unsure of where she is going... EXT. SNOWLANDS, DEEP HILL - NIGHT A steep hill; littered with jagged rocks, sandwiched between two looming clif sides, and dropping into pure black darkness. Eileen approaches this hill, beginning a slow descent down it after A DEEP BREATH and moment's hesitation. She's careful, not wanting to tumble down this hill. She's a good fifteen feet down the hill... A worrying thought slowly creeps into Eileen's mind, slowing her pace and ultimately stopping her as she leans against a rock. She peers into the darkness for a few silent moments... EILEEN (To self) No. This has to be the wrong way. I want to go up, notThe rock Eileen is leaning against gives out, causing her to slide downward.
24. Fumbling in surprise for only a second, Eileen plunges her weapon into the ground, stopping her descent. Eileen watches the rock slide deeper into the bowels of the Abyss... Regaining her composure, she starts climbing back up the hill. INT. SNOWLANDS, ICE FOREST - NIGHT A forest made of frozen vegetation and dark ice spires. Eileen is wandering through the icy trees, constantly vigilant for any sign of freedom on the horizon. This goes on for a little while... Then something catches her eye in a clearing up ahead. briskly makes her way towards it...
She
It's a trail of familiar footprints. Eileen follows the footprints' direction with her eyes, dread overcasting her soul. EILEEN No... Slowly, Eileen puts her foot into one of the footprints... Perfect match. There are her footprints. FRUSTRATED GROAN/GROWL.
She lets out A
As she slowly calms down, she looks around and sees something else nearby: a set of beastly footprints. Eileen walks over and follows them with her gaze. The monster prints suddenly stop under a tree she's by... Then a few bits of snow fall from above, turning her blood to ice water. She quickly jerks her head upA WOLF-YETI MONSTER leaps down from a branch up above, Eileen reacting quick enough to jump out of the way with just seconds to spare. A fight begins. Eileen tries to attack the monster, but its strength/size and Eileen's still-weakened state put the odds against the monster hunter. She ultimately tries to escape, but a SECOND WOLF-YETI MONSTER leaps out and hits her back into the grasp of the first monster. The first monster hits Eileen and she's sent to the ground, hard. She closes her eyes, breathing heavily and already defeated... An image of Lukas smiling at her flashes in her mind. Eileen's eyes snap open as one of the monsters picks her up. She closes her eyes again.
25. Another image of Lukas smiling, this time chatting with Herman and Mary. Eileen's thrown against a tree, sliding down the trunk like a rag doll. She opens and closes her eyes... Another vision of Lukas, laughing with Moira. A monster picks Eileen up again.
She closes her tired eyes...
Vision of Lukas reaching out for her as she was pulled into the Abyss. Eileen's eyes snap open, burning with anger and determination. Eileen struggles out of the beast's grip, striking it in the shoulder with her weapon and sending it reeling back. Another fight begins. This time, Eileen has the strength to bring the pain, and boy does she. The monsters get a few hits, but in the end, Eileen stands victorious over the slain monsters. Drifting down from her adrenaline rush, Eileen closes her eyes, her frantic breath slowing as a few moments pass... EILEEN (CONT'D) I'm coming, Lukas. Nothing's gonna stop me. A few tense of silence passes.
Eileen turns.
Damien is in the woods, in awe at what he just saw. Still on edge, Eileen immediately gets into a battle stance. Damien holds his palms out in alarm. It's me!
DAMIEN Just me!
Eileen lowers her defenses. Damien looks at the downed monsters, his expression two parts amazement and one part disgust. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Brutal, but I can't say such an approach is useless here. EILEEN What are you doing here? Damien SCOFFS. DAMIEN Keeping you from getting yourself even more lost. What else?
26. EILEEN I'm fine. Damien gestures into the woods. DAMIEN Your trail would say otherwise. Her pride stinging, Eileen begins walking forward. rushes over to her side.
Damien
DAMIEN (CONT'D) Look, have I done anything close to hurting you? Eileen stops and faces Damien, a standoffish air about her. EILEEN No, but you haven't done anything to earn my trust. Damien's incredulous at Eileen's words. DAMIEN "Haven't done anything to...?" Damien SPUTTERS IN DISBELIEF. DAMIEN (CONT'D) I freed you! Healed you! Tried to keep you from barreling into danger! Eileen frowns. EILEEN But you never told me why you're down here in the first place. Damien rubs his hand down his face. DAMIEN This again. Why does that matter? EILEEN Because I doubt you're down here to see the sights, Damien. You're down here for a reason, and you not telling me why isn't really comforting. Damien SIGHS, conceding to Eileen's argument. DAMIEN Nor do you have a reason to find it so.
27. Eileen allows her demeanor to soften; she's a bit cordial. EILEEN I can sense monsters. Just something monster hunters can do after a while. You don't quite feel like one, but... Eileen's voice trails off.
She narrows her eyes, suspicious.
EILEEN (CONT'D) You don't feel normal, either. Damien smiles wryly. DAMIEN No offense, I assume. Eileen is unmoved by Damien's humor. revealing diplomacy.
His sarcasm melts away,
DAMIEN (CONT'D) Okay, I'm not one to talk about myself, nor do I have any intention to start. But I also have no intention of harming anyone. In fact, as I stated, I'm very much incapable of doing so. Damien adopts a more persuasive aura, but he can't help but seem a little desperate. DAMIEN (CONT'D) I know most of the Abyss like the back of my hand. The problem is, every time I try to escape, something always nearly kills me. That's why I sought you out. Why I gambled the last of my power. Eileen seems a little convinced by this. vulnerability to show.
Damien allows more
DAMIEN (CONT'D) I need your help, Eileen. Almost as much as you need mine. With a SCOFF at the last line, Eileen starts walking away. EILEEN "Almost as much as-" Damien's voice is a desperate threat.
28. DAMIEN The Abyss is a big place. Lots of twists and even more turns. You get lost, you can find yourself spending years getting back on track. Eileen doesn't respond; she's still moving. for a moment, then remembers-
Damien thinks
DAMIEN (CONT'D) Who's Lukas? Eileen stops in her tracks, glaring at Damien over her shoulder. Damien takes the hint. DAMIEN (CONT'D) You said his name after the fight. Is he waiting for you up there? Damien makes his way towards Eileen, holding out his hand with sincere, determined eyes that promise the world. Eileen, her defenses slowly cracking, looks at his hand without words. DAMIEN (CONT'D) It's not going to be an easy journey, but mark my words- I'll get you back to Lukas. But you need to trust me. Eileen hesitates, her emotional walk breaking with every second, until... With a RESIGNED SIGH, Eileen takes Damien's hand and shakes it. Damien can't help but smile. Eileen releases his hand, furrowing her brow in warning. EILEEN If you're lying about not wanting to hurt peopleDamien gestures to the fallen beasts. DAMIEN Right, I've seen what you can do. Damien starts guiding her through the woods. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Let's just hope you can do that a few more hundred times. EXT. SNOWLANDS, CRYSTAL VALLEY - NIGHT A valley with hunks of ice scattered about it. Within some of them are frozen monsters of all kinds, though their features are mostly in shadow.
29. Damien and Eileen are making their way through the valley. Eileen glances at the crystals, making out the forms within them. At one point... EILEEN Thank you. Damien glances at Eileen. EILEEN (CONT'D) For healing me. Damien smiles. DAMIEN Anytime. They approach the mouth of a cave. DAMIEN (CONT'D) But hopefully not anytime soon. INT. SNOWLANDS, MURAL CAVES - NIGHT Large cave passageway. on them.
The side is adorned with murals drawn
Damien and Eileen continue through the game. Eileen glances at the murals. They depict various scenes of the winterscape she's been walking through... Then one mural catches her eye: a trail of the wolf-yetis she fought. They're walking in a line...then we get to a part of the mural that worries Eileen. The wolf-yetis are being torn apart by a GIANT FISH WOMAN MONSTER emerging from a body of water. Wolf-yetis are also doing battle with FISH WOMEN MONSTERS jumping out of the water. Eileen stops in her tracks, the reality of bigger, scarier monsters running around the Abyss weighing down on her courage. Damien notices this and walks to Eileen's side, looking at the mural. DAMIEN You didn't think those two beasts back there were the biggest things running around here, did you? Eileen tries to seem brave and salvage her warrior's pride, but there's still tinges of fear in her voice. EILEEN Of course not.
30. Damien's brow wrinkles in worry. DAMIEN Listen, I don't want to guide you into certain death. Eileen gives him a side-way glance. EILEEN Then don't. Damien is not liking the possibility that his gamble had been for nothing. DAMIEN If I knew my way around all the big fights, I would've taken them. Damien gives Eileen a firm look, the tinge of his voice dire. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Eileen, I need to know if you actually canEileen returns Damien's stare with a dead serious glare of her own, her voice assertive. EILEEN I can beat something like this. DAMIEN You ever do it before? EILEEN Yes. Right before I came here, actually. DAMIEN By yourself or with other monster hunters? Eileen doesn't say anything, but the cracks in her confidences is enough of an answer. Damien closes his eyes and SIGHS QUIETLY; this deal wasn't as good as he hoped. Eileen frowns in response. EILEEN I can do this, Damien. Damien's eyes are bleary with worry. DAMIEN I hope so. He starts walking down the cave again.
31. DAMIEN (CONT'D) For both our sakes. Eileen begins following Damien again. She looks over her shoulder- giving the mural one last, half-worried glancebefore turning her eyes to Damien. The two continue walking for a bit, an entrance slowly coming into view up ahead. DAMIEN (CONT'D) If it's any comfort, I've also heard rumors that ol' she-beast back there hasn't been seen for a good, long while. EILEEN Dead? DAMIEN If so, I'd start praying it was because of old age and not because of something bigger. After a bit of walking, they're close enough to the entrance for Eileen to be able to make out the features beyond the cave. Her eyes sparkle with hope; there's a village beyond the cave. EILEEN Thank the maiden. Eileen runs past Damien, surprising him for a moment. DAMIEN Eileen? Eileen runs to the cave's entrance... EXT. SNOWLANDS, VILLAGE - NIGHT A village consisting of buildings made of wooden wreckage remains and tanned beast pelts. The place looks dead still. Eileen gets a good look at the village, her heart sinking and hopes dashed. This isn't what she thought this place was. Damien makes it to her side, realizing what had happened upon seeing Eileen's disappointment. DAMIEN You thought we were at the surface already, didn't you? Eileen says nothing. Damien's heart is weighed down by the bad news he must give...
32. DAMIEN (CONT'D) The Snowlands. Eileen gives Damien a puzzled glance. Damien closes his eyes, reciting something from memory. As he speaks, we see shots of the village, its desolation being showcased. We also see a some shadowy figures encased within ice... DAMIEN (CONT'D) "Hidden far away from the sun, the Snowlands are forever kept within the harsh grasp of winter. Few beasts dare travel here from other lands, lest they be frozen by the cruel air. A journey through this cold wasteland could mean an encounter with beasts thought to be extinct, now encased within ice." Damien opens his eyes, smiling at Eileen with humor and pride in himself. DAMIEN (CONT'D) I also offer my services as a tour guide. EILEEN Wait, "other lands?" Damien's smile fades, dismay at both the challenges ahead and having to give Eileen bad news. DAMIEN You've only seen one part of the Abyss. Both above and below are many layers. Or "lands" and they're called. Eileen looks up, the size of her journey now being an intimidating thing. She doesn't want to ask, but... EILEEN How many lands do we have to go through? DAMIEN Including this one? Damien takes a few moments counting in his head and on his fingers. With every finger that Damien counts on, Eileen's heart sinks a little further. Eventually, we get to finger numberDAMIEN (CONT'D) Eight.
33. Eileen tries to accept the news gracefully, but it still tires and dismays her. EILEEN Eight. Damien shrugs slowly, his look that of a man trying to offer consolation to bad news. DAMIEN We're almost through this one, so it's practically seven. Eileen SCOFFS, smiling wryly. Great.
Her voice is sarcastic.
EILEEN Wonderful.
Eileen starts walking into the village. utter heel, Damien SIGHS TO HIMSELF.
Feeling like an
DAMIEN (Mocking self) "Oh yeah. It's practically seven." (Sarcastic) Yeah, that'll keep her going, Damien. Into the village more, Eileen is looking around the village. Eventually, her attention is caught on a rope dangling back and forth. She stops in her tracks, transfixed on the rope. Damien walks up to her, raising an eyebrow at her staring at the rope. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Something wrong? EXT. OBSTACLE COURSE - EVENING A homemade obstacle course in the woods. One such feature is a rope to swing on from a branch. It's sunset; a scenic one. Lukas is swinging upside down on a rope swing, writing on a small card and his bag hanging on the branch above. Eileen, appearance completely normal, sits nearby and immediately starts reading a book. Something's made her mad, but she's not acknowledging it. EILEEN No, nothing's wrong. Lukas watches her read, not convinced. her, Eileen glances at him.
Feeling his gaze on
34. EILEEN (CONT'D) What? LUKAS What's wrong? Eileen turns back to her book, frustrated. EILEEN Nothing. Lukas rolls his eyes. LUKAS Please stop pretending to read and tell me what's wrong. Eileen's frustration grows. EILEEN I'm not pretending to read. Lukas goes back to writing on the card. LUKAS That book's upside down. Eileen closes the book and TAKES A DEEP BREATH. EILEEN Do you know what today is? LUKAS Of course I do. Veggieloaf day at Mercy's Diner. Eileen SCOFFS, returning to her book (checking its cover to see if its rightside-up) with a scowl. LUKAS (CONT'D) I'm kidding, I'm kidding. It's our anniversary. Eileen glances at the sun, which is fast approaching the horizon. EILEEN Nearly the end of it. Lukas looks at the sunset, fond memories bringing a smile to his face. LUKAS It was about this time, remember? When I asked you to go out with me?
35. Eileen's fury wanes at the sweet memory, her eyes going misty. So, what?
LUKAS (CONT'D) You're upset about that?
Eileen's frustration returns, but it's more tame than before. EILEEN Not about that. Lukas is stick of this. it.
He wants Eileen to come out and say
LUKAS Then what? Eileen looks at Lukas, hurt. EILEEN Nothing. LUKAS Stop saying that, please. EILEEN No, I mean you got me nothing. Eileen looks at the rope, brow furrowing. EILEEN (CONT'D) I see you're enjoying my gift. Lukas gestures to the obstacle course, excitement in his smile. LUKAS I'll say! I did, like, five runs so far today. Wasn't expecting this. Eileen turns back to her book, letting herself become more frustrated with every word she speaks. As this happens, Lukas finishes his card, goes up to his bag, pulls something out of it, puts the card on it... EILEEN I'm not expecting something like this. Really. But something would've been nice. Just a little thing. That's it. A single flower or something. JustLukas presents what he was hiding in his bag: a bouquet of twelve purple/indigo flowers, card now attached. Eileen is surprised at this. Lukas grins.
36. LUKAS There's a dozen, so does this mean I'm covered for the next twelve years? Still surprised, Eileen carefully grabs the bouquet. EILEEN Twilight blossoms. How did you...? LUKAS Get them this time of year? my ways. Eileen's on the brink of happy tears.
I have She hides her eyes.
EILEEN Gah, now look at what you did. Lukas leans over. Eileen looks at him, smiling. close in for a kiss...

Eileen looks at Damien, who is still
DAMIEN Is something wrong? Damien glances around, not happy with their situation. Meanwhile, Eileen is getting herself some inner strength. DAMIEN (CONT'D) I mean, what isn't wrong? But... EILEEN Eight lands, right? Damien turns back to Eileen, trying to pad his bad news with weak assurance. DAMIEN Practically seven. Eileen shrugs, turning back to the rope. EILEEN Seven, eight. No matter. Eileen turns to Damien, determination in her eyes.
37. EILEEN (CONT'D) Lead the way. EXT. SNOWLANDS, MASSIVE FIELD - NIGHT A large expanse of what appears to be a wintery field. On one end, now quite a ways away, is the village. On the other is a mountain that appears to reach into the clouds above. A few ice/snow mounds little the area, as do some large wreckage obscured by the snowy winds... Damien is guiding Eileen across the field. DAMIEN Right then. Entrance to the next land is right up ahead. EILEEN And you made it sound like this would take forever. As Damien talks, something in the distance piques Eileen's attention. She stops, her gaze sharpening and mind readying for combat. DAMIEN Don't get cocky, Eileen. There's some real nasty areas up... Damien notices that Eileen isn't following him and turns to her. He walks up to her side. He decodes her stare and becomes worried for it, looking in the same direction as her. DAMIEN (CONT'D) There's something coming isn't it? EILEEN NoWith movements most sudden, Eileen does a 180 degree turn and attacks a FISH WOMAN MONSTER that was sneaking up behind them. Right between the eyes. The monster is still. Eileen twists the weapon for good measure, her glare fierce. Damien is surprised at the sneak attack. EILEEN (CONT'D) -it's gone. Damien glances back to where he was facing before. fish women are charging, much to his alarm. DAMIEN Eileen!
Two more
38. Eileen turns and fights the two. After a brief struggle, the fish women are down. Eileen sees five more rushing for them. She grabs Damien by the arm and begins running with him towards the entrance/exit. EILEEN C'mon! The two start making a break for the mountain. During this, Eileen glances around, more fish women appearing seemingly out of nowhere. EILEEN (CONT'D) Will they follow us to the next level? DAMIEN I don't think so! Damien look around, more fish women are appearing wherever he looks to. As they run, Eileen squints and sees some of the nearby wooden wreckage for what it is... DAMIEN (CONT'D) Where the hell are these things coming from?! They're appearing out of nowhere! The wreckage is a half-sunken ship.
Eileen's eyes go wide.
A flash of the mural Eileen was transfixed is shown. More specifically, the part of it that shows the fish women coming out of the water. EILEEN This isn't a field! huge frozen lake!
It's a lake!

Another monster attacks. Eileen kills the monster. EILEEN (CONT'D) There's coming out of holes through the ice! They start running again. After a bit of running, a massive hole cracks open ahead of them. Eileen and Damien skid to a stop. Damien skids a bit more, nearly falling into the clutches of a fish woman who splashes out of the water. Eileen grabs Damien by his collar and pulls him back, struggling with the fish woman for a bit before killing it. The monster sinks into the water, blood flowing. Another hole begins cracking open behind them. Damien go back to running.

39. As they run, more holes crack open around them. Eileen dispatches more fish women, sending them into the dark depths of the ice ocean... EXT. SNOWLANDS, UNDER THE ICE LAKE - NIGHT The fish women's bodies sink, their blood trailing around/behind them. The bodies and blood slip into the pitch black below... Suddenly, glowing blue-green eyes snap open. EXT. SNOWLANDS, MASSIVE FIELD - NIGHT Eileen is still fighting and running after Damien. Then the fish women gradually stop appearing. Eileen takes note of this, even seeing fish women retreating back into the water. Damien.
EILEEN They're retreating.
Damien looks around and sees this, a relived smile crawling onto his face. DAMIEN Oh, maybe they're giving up. The roar of a massive surge of water below answers Damien, worrying the duo to a stop. The two look down... Then the glowing eyes, now attached to a massive shadow, begins rushing up from the depth below. Eileen and Damien freak out and run away from the area they're in. EILEEN Holy maiden ofMassive impact from below the ice. area.
Huge cracks tear across
Another impact, stronger than the last. More cracks. crack streaks between Damien and Eileen.

EILEEN (CONT'D) DamiAnother impact. The ice is shattered. The flat plane is reduced to ice platforms in a large span of freezing water. Nearby ship wrecks take float as best as they can. In the center of this newfound chaos is the FISH WOMAN QUEEN from the mural, water splashing around her. She lets out A FURIOUS CRY that shakes the air.
40. She turns her furious eyes to Eileen. Eileen's bravery shakes slightly as the two opponents lock gazes. The monster swings its hand down.
Time slows.
Eileen closes her eyes... EXT. OBSTACLE COURSE - DAY Back where the memory left off from before. kiss.
She and Lukas
EXT. SNOWLANDS, MASSIVE FIELD - NIGHT Eileen's eyes snap open. Fine.
Pure determination and fury.
EILEEN I wanted seafood bake, anyway.
Eileen leaps out of the way.
The battle begins.
It's a grand struggle. Both Eileen and the queen are a decent match combat-wise; they do a lot of damage to each other. Damien is skillfully evading the combat, ultimately taking shelter in one of the wrecked ships. Ultimately, just by the skin of her teeth, Eileen defeats the queen, impaling its head on the mast of the ship Damien was hiding in. The monster's giant eye ends up mere feet from Damien's shocked face. Walking across its head and down its face, a worn and weary Eileen offers Damien a hand, tired smile on her face. EILEEN (CONT'D) She didn't do that mural justice. Damien takes Eileen's hand and she helps him off the wreckage, Damien glancing at Eileen's fear in amazement and slight horror. DAMIEN That was... EILEEN A piece of cake. As they walk towards the entrance, Damien looks Eileen over, taking concerned inventory of her scrapes and bruises. Eileen notices this. EILEEN (CONT'D) What? Did you want to rest for tea or something?
41. Damien summons a melancholic smile, glancing over his shoulder and towards the shore they started on. DAMIEN Just dawned on me that I won't be seeing that hovel again. Hope I remembered to put the stove out. Damien looks at Eileen's injuries again. DAMIEN (CONT'D) Hold on. Eileen stops, eyes rolling and annoyed at Damien checking her injuries. EILEEN I'm okay. DAMIEN I'm just worried that you won't be able to make it through the AbyA fish woman monster leaps out to the side of them. Damien is startled. Eileen, not fazed, kills the monster without even taking her eyes off Damien. Damien looks at the monster, still shocked at what happened. EILEEN Again, I'm fine. Eileen starts walking to the exit/entrance. EILEEN (CONT'D) Can we please get out of here? I don't want to know if there's a king version of that big thing swimming around here too. Damien frowns at Eileen, following her. DAMIEN You could warn me when that's about to happen, you know! EXT. SNOWLANDS, BY ENTRANCE/EXIT - NIGHT A huge mountain that towers up into the clouds above. Stairs are carved into the mountain, lined with columns featuring carvings of spirals and leading to a have going into the mountain. Damien leads Eileen up the stairs stopping at the mouth of the cave. He gestures into it, smile on his face.
42. DAMIEN One down. Eileen walks into the cave, look of determination on her face. EILEEN Seven more to go. Damien follows.
Both are swallowed by the darkness. END OF ACT ONE
