(Happily) back to school

Pasop vir dié masels

Tears were hardly to be seen on Wednesday when the new Gr R and Gr 1 pupils reported at schools. Below left young Tiné Botha says goodbye to her mother Tilana and below right Gr 1 Itu Malebati is happy to let his mother Jennifer go (both at Tzaneen Primary). Right: Grade R Jonah Altenroxel bravely smiled without shedding a tear when mother Nicky left.

‘Lawless Lawman’ Impostor is relentlessly continuing in full steam to swindle and steal, piling up victims like bricks — The self-made “Head Sheriff of Ritavi”, one Mr N D Kgatla, is relentless in his endeavours to steal people’s money, pretending to be a sheriff who may attach property, collect legal fees and serve all sorts of invalid legal documents on people who are experiencing financial difficulties. Since we exposed this swindler last week, another 29 people have communicated with us, telling us of their grief after having been fooled by the smooth operator’s criminal deception. In two new cases that have been brought to our attention the “sheriff ” sold property to a total value of more than R800 000! Like in the rest of the cases he has obviously pocketed the money. No wonder that he could buy himself a brand new luxury LDV, to enable him to perform his duties as “sheriff ”.

Part 2

Our efforts to get comments from the SA Sheriffs Council have so far failed, but we will continue to ask them for information and comment. We have also asked the Police for their views regarding this man’s criminal deception, but at the time of going to press nothing has been heard from the SAPS either. In the mean while there is evidence suggesting that “Sheriff ” Kgatla is on a spending spree, not hesitating to issue cheques from his illegal trust account. Needless to say, these cheques are not honoured by the bank! • The public is warned to insist on proper identification of anybody who presents him-/herself as a sheriff, and to be watchful for Mr Kgatla. We are continuing our investigation into Ritavi’s “Head Sheriff ”.
