MediClinic Tzaneen is about to open a fourth operating theatre. The final inspection of the new theatre was executed by a team of representatives of the department of health last week. The fourth theatre will ensure great relieve, since the constant growth in patient numbers has caused regular bottle necks and doctors often have to execute intense patience when they need to perform procedures in a theatre. Seen during the inspection were Mr Stephen Masemola (clinical technician), RN Sunelle Bekker (MediClinic theatre unit manager), Mr Zane Fanie (MediClinic hospital manager), dr Vusi Buthelezi (GM provincial office), dr Thabo Pinkoane (senior manager hospital management support), Mr Malesela Makinta (deputy director environmental and occupational health), Ms Dusty Ramoshaba (chief artisan provincial health) and RN Mantwa Mukhawane (deputy manager Van Velden Hospital). The chairman of MediClinic Tzaneen’s board of directors, dr Ig Van Rensburg, this week confirmed that an ambitious project to further expand the hospital, probably in two phases, will be announced in the not so distant future.

The GTM’s spokesperson, Mr Neville Ndlala, could not explain how they enforce central government’s instruction to save water, but he promised to get back to us. Ndlala has become notorious for making false promises to the media and to simply ignore our enquiries. • Read more on page 3
There were plenty of gleaming smiles when Stanford Lake College’s matrics said farewell during a posh dinner/dance. Seen here are the 2015 leaders of the School: Makungu Valoyi (head girl) Rameez Tayob (head boy), Abigail Joubert (deputy head girl) and Rich Mongwe (deputy head boy). More photos on page 11.

The money problems of the Mopani District Municipality seem to be getting more and bigger. In the latest drama an amount of R33 million is said to have vanished and attempts to find out what has happened to the money, has allegedly failed. A councillor has now asked for a special debate, to discuss the “disappearance” of the money. The Auditor General demanded an investigation, but the councillor
