WHO WE ARE:
THE FACES OF CCF WHAT WE DO:
The Orange County Collaborative Courts address some of the most difficult issues facing society today - substance abuse, mental illness and homelessness. The 19 courts operate alongside the traditional court system and provide non-violent offenders with rehabilitation instead of incarceration. The vast majority of these men, women and youth would, in the absence of this opportunity, face a lifetime of addiction, incarceration and reliance on public-funded programs.
IMAGINE YOURSELF OR A LOVED ONE IN A STATE OF DESPERATION - EXISTING UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES YOU NEVER DREAMED WOULD TOUCH YOUR LIFE.
A SOLDIER,
In 2011, the Collaborative Courts have saved Orange County over $3.5 million in jail and prison bed costs and significantly decreased repeat offenses. Most impressive, however, is their profound impact on the participants, both youth and adults, as well as on their families and our community as a whole. The true impact can be seen in the babies born drug-free, the children not in foster care, the lives not lost to drunk drivers, the families reunited, and the soldiers who have recovered from the scars of their military service. The Foundation's primary goal is to assist the more than 1,500 program participants to become productive citizens, and to impart the realization that life is worth living in a healthy and meaningful way. It provides critical support to those who are unable to afford the basics that are integral to their success in the program through:
returned from the battlefield, unable to fit neatly back into civil society as though he had never witnessed the events that fill his mind. Lost now. Changed.
The Homeless Outreach Court, with more than 900 participants breaks the cycle of citations and infraction and incarceration that makes the person ineligible for the assistance they need by giving participants credits for taking the steps necessary to become productive members of society. • Funds for transitional housing • Medication, emergency medical and dental treatment • Providing bus passes so participants can access services • Reuniting participants with families in or out-of-state
JUVENILE COURT TRANSITION PROGRAM

These mentors are able to assist the vets to secure employment, restore relationships with family and friends and resume their position as productive members of society.
