SEPTEMBER 17 & 18 • The Hillbilly Fair will be held at the Laurie Fairgrounds. Bands, food, games and other entertainment will be held during the two-day event. The lodge address is 174 Elks Lane in Laurie. The Red Cross staff is efficient and does an expert job of collecting the donations. Culver’s in Osage Beach has

donated coupons for a pint of frozen custard for each pint of blood donated. Also, receive a limited-edition college football T-shirt, while supplies last. OCTOBER 2 • The Pregnancy Help Center 5K Walk/Run for Life will be held at JJ Twigs Pizza & BBQ in Lake Ozark. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. Awards and prizes will follow the race. Cost is $15 before July 31, or $20 after. Kids 11 and under are free. At 8 a.m. festivities and food will be served. A bounce house, face painting, raffle prizes, kids’ games, and other entertainment will be held. This tournament gives amateurs anglers the chance to win big. Cost to enter is $140 for one day or $190 for two days. For more information, go to www.midwestfishtournaments.com. 3 •  The Osage Beach Fishing Derby will be held at the Osage Beach City Park from 5-8 p.m. The free event is held for kids ages 15 and younger.
